Good Morning Everyone,
Its light but looking a bit grey here in Brackley .
Today, join the que again, small shop.
I am starting to miss my days out, but I am keeping in mind when the time comes how many more weeks away that will be as we seem not to obey , on some of the rulings.
Gather more restrictions will be made after Easter .
Mick

Morning. Lovely in E Kent, promises to be a glorious day.
Getting tired of incarceration, but needs must! ...
Our exciting outing today is a longish walk to the local farm shop for vegetables. We’re trying to shop locally as far as possible.
Oh please, no more restrictions!
Stay safe, keep well.

Goodmorning Mick and all x

Blue sky emerging here in S E Essex.

I was woken up by the police helicopter at 5.20am, and the moon was spectacular.

No idea what I shall do today?

Keep safe and well folks ?

Good morning Mick and all his followers. I am awake very early having come to bed early last night.
It’s cloudy here in Suffolk and I hope it stays a little cooler today as I have digging to do in the garden.
I hope today is kind to everyone.

Another lovely day in the garden, long stroll with the dog, facetime a couple of people, have a nice meal. Maybe, I'll work on a few projects.

I don't miss people much, feel really safe in my refuge, no interruptions, errands or appointments. The world has paused so I'm on holiday.

I haven't been in a shop for a couple of months - all is delivered, safest way.

I expect it will be like this until next spring - but worth it.

Morning Mick, morning All. We’re promised a warm, sunny day in our corner of Somerset. Off to oldies hour at Waitrose for some veg and milk, sadly no farm shop close by. Then hope to record a couple of stories requested by our Littlest. Techno phobia alive and well here so some trepidation. Laundry, tidying, usual walk and some sitting in the garden and the day will be filled. Be gentle with yourselves everyone, we’ll all need masses of patience.

Scentia Thu 09-Apr-20 06:32:21

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. The sky looks a beautiful lilac colour this morning.
I need to make a delivery to a customer this morning and I will have to drive past my DD house, I wonder if they stand and wave from the driveway will make it worse or better as I am missing them so very much at the moment.
I think I am having my first wobble☹️
Take care everyone and stay safe today ❤️

Good Morning everyone from a cloudy and dry Severnside.

I’m starting to have to think what day it is and as the weeks used to fly by not so sure they are now.

Perhaps more restrictions will depend on how people act over Easter....who knows.....I don’t.

I watched a few planes and a helicopter go over yesterday and a lot of birds.

I’ve a shop to do today and some garden work.

Had a cuddle with my fluffy toy and made his fir wet yesterday.

Have the best day you can all ?

Morning all from a brightening North Leicestershire. From our bed we can see the sun rise over the rooftops opposite and this morning it was a lovely pinky orange.

A pootling and faffing day today for us.

Had a fair few WhatsApp exchanges with my Sil in South Africa about the very extreme restrictions there.

NotAGran55 Thu 09-Apr-20 06:42:22

Good morning all from a brightening sky West Berkshire.

Weekly shopping trip today to buy the essentials, baking , a bit of gardening and knitting for me today .

Mick it worries me that you seem to shop numerous times a week when the advice is to stay in and only shop infrequently for essentials .

Every time you mix with people in the supermarket you are putting yourself and everyone else at risk .

I seem to remember that you were expecting ‘the letter ‘ about shielding , so assume you have a medical condition too.

I understand that it can be difficult without transport to get your shopping but there are a lot of people who are willing to help .

Could you get yourself a big wheeled shopping trolley ? Or even improvise with a wheeled suitcase ?

Please think about it .

Good morning from what promises to be another beautiful day in Manchester. Another beautiful moon lady night. The weather is making these days more bearable. 2 lots of exciting things yesterday, steady now, you'll be blown away. Gousto box delivery and a chenook(?) helicopter flew quite low overhead. Told you it was exciting! More of the same today. The walk in the afternoon with Mr Manc had become the highlight of the day. Zoom chat with girlfriends this afternoon. (((hugs))) flowersfor those with extra worries.

Good morning from a dull NE, had a mixed day yesterday, seeing the grandchildren at a distance was bittersweet and after the drive home I felt shattered, didn’t do a thing which isn’t like me, slept for a bit in the afternoon. DH heated up leftovers for dinner, I was in bed by 8pm and slept again. Hoping my energy levels are back to normal today, no plans and will just take the day as it comes. Keep safe all.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy but dry Inverness. Yesterday my DD1 from Cambridge sent me beautiful pictures of DGSs playing in the garden - shorts, T-shirt’s and ice cream whilst I was sat in the conservatory with the rain pounding on the roof and the heating on ! ? but apart from the miserable weather here compared to elsewhere we are thankfully both fine

We couldn’t get a Tesco delivery slot at all for this week but we did manage to get a click and collect so DH will be going out in the car later for the first time in over 2 weeks to collect it. I’ve decided to stay home so there’s just one of us going out - ooooh it’ll be my turn next week if we can’t get a home delivery again !

Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care if you need to go out ?

Morning all from a drizzly start to the day in Glasgow. Thank goodness we took advantage of a pleasant day yesterday and managed to do a good bit of work in the garden and other bits and pieces on the never ending to do list.

Back to what will probably be an indoor day so knitting, book and generally faffing about today.

Hope everyone has the best day possible.

Good morning Mick and all of you. The thermometer says 16 degrees, but it feels a bit cooler than that.
nannytopsy I too had an earlier night and woke up earlier. I settled down feeling like I needed a bit extra sleep but I haven't had it.
It was clear last night so I was able to see the glorious moon. It looked quite a deep yellow to me.
My epilepsy support group have set up a daily q&a for us to participate in. A light-hearted one, so that should keep us all entertained and out of trouble ☺️
Spent some of the afternoon yesterday cleaning the downstairs bathroom but not much else. I really ought to sort out my wardrobe but I can't seem to face doing it because I think the weight of the clothes are the only thing stopping it from collapsing?
Will have a general tidy up today I think and dabble with my non art artwork. First port of call, put the washing out.
Stay safe and be kind to yourselves everyone ❤️

Good Morning from a bright Black Country. It was a glorious and hot day yesterday, so spent time relaxing in garden reading my book.

Was woken at 5am as the light was on in the Dining room. Got up to find Partner working! He is working from home, on less pay, but seems to be working more! He says it is because it takes longer to get information. The company asked for volunteers to be furloughed, which he did. He was peeved to find he wasn't one of them. Now he expects to have more work as they divide it up between the everyone remaining.

As expected our flight to Rhodes on 4th June is cancelled (I don't think I would have gone anyway even if they were flying then) The owner of the property where we stay has transferred the deposit to June next year. Fingers crossed that can happen!

Scentia flowers I had a wobble at the weekend.

It is going to be hard this Easter weekend, not being able to see family. We are arranged a Zoom call so we can all have a chat and see each other Easter Day, including my Niece who is in Australia. She is due to come back in October when her contract finishes. Hopefully she will be able to get a flight.

Today I will be tidying the drive outside, get rid of all those pesky weeds in the block paving.

Take care everyone and have the best day you can

Morning All

Overcast in the north of Norfolk this morning. I watered the whole garden last evening so it may well rain.

DH says he’s going to join me for the GN walking exercise video this morning. I hope the neighbours aren’t watching!

We have a Tesco home delivery this afternoon. Oh, the excitement! Never had one before!

Hetty58 Thu 09-Apr-20 07:33:58

Scentia, my grandchildren don't understand distancing yet. They talk to me on the phone from the other side of the window - then kiss the window goodbye! (I must get out there and clean it again.)

Mythbirtthedragon Thu 09-Apr-20 07:34:22

Good morning from east London, slight haze outside and mild. If it’s like yesterday, there’ll be sunshine later. We walked later in the afternoon yesterday, went through a glorious wooded area covered in bluebells, and it stayed warm enough for T-shirt and shorts til after 6pm. This morning, I’m off to the foodbank; I think there’s just the two of us again. Have a good day.

DoraMarr Thu 09-Apr-20 07:41:57

Good morning from Birmingham, where there is a beautiful sky, with high clouds and the sun shining through. I was awake before six with toothache. My dentist prescribed antibiotics yesterday, so I drove to the chemist to pick them up, then did a little shopping in M&S. It was my first day out anywhere apart from the park for three weeks. It was sad to see all the shops and cafes shut in what is usually a lively place. Then yesterday afternoon I heard that my neighbour, a paramedic, has contracted the virus. The testing station opposite was doing steady business, so let’s hope the target of 100,000 tests a day can be reached soon.
Today I will do my Italian homework and organise the U3A writing group’s next exercise. It was nice to sit on my very tidy balcony yesterday evening with a glass of wine.
Best wishes to everyone today.

A bit cloudy her on the Suffolk coast. Little bits of blue sky peeping through. Had a lovely surprise in our postbox yesterday. 2 Easter eggs sent through the post by our daughter. They arrived in perfect condition amazingly and were posted just the day before. I have sent an Easter card to each of my 8 GC with a little choc bunny inside each one. Only one has arrived so far and all posted at the same time. Hope they all arrive by tomorrow (Good Friday). We would have been hosting the Easter egg hunt as we do each year with fun and games. Such a shame! I’m interested to see how many people arrive on our beach this weekend. There haven’t been many up til now so hopefully people will be sensible. My friend send me a video of their walk in Richmond Park with the deer. .Very few people around and it looked so tranquil. I did think all the London Parks had been closed? Have a carefree day. ?. Oh nearly forgot , are we clapping again tonight! ???

Sar53 Thu 09-Apr-20 07:45:33

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea .
I had a very restless night and kept waking up, not sure why.
DH will be off shortly for his weekly visit to the supermarket. I write the list with explicit instructions as to what to get and in the order the things are in the aisles. He's done a pretty good job so far !!
He learned yesterday that he is to be furloughed from Friday of next week. Numerous reasons but he is not a happy bunny as working from home gave him something to do. I've told him he needs to start a new hobby, I suggested knitting smile.
A walk later on this morning, some more of my patchwork and I have a lot of programs to catch up with on the tv.
Have the very best day you can and stay safe xx

Urmstongran Thu 09-Apr-20 07:47:43

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s another day of white cloud! Most unlike Spain at this time of year. I wore a light jumper yesterday.

I slept like a log last night after a rubbish sleep the previous night. I’ve not had alcohol for 2 nights and think I will abstain for a while. It’s too easy to pour some wine - not out of boredom - I love the taste, red, white or pink and it does ‘take the edge off’.

Nice to see you on here Hetty ?
Where are you posting from in the U.K.? We are a nosy lot haha! We like to know that and the weather too.

Hope Thursday (is it Maundy?) is kind to us all. Keep safe everyone. x

ninathenana Thu 09-Apr-20 07:53:43

Good morning from so far slightly hazy Kent but we are forecast another beautiful day. Temperature is not great here on the coast though.
DH has gone for his walk to get the paper, I have only just woken up.
He will cook breckie when he returns. I will then clean the kitchen and do not much else.
Have the best day you can and stay safe.

Good morning from a bright Cheshire. Yesterday was beautiful, the hottest day yet, finally got my shorts out. Was searching the house for something to wash, it seemed such a shame to have such a glorious day with no washing on the line! Pantaglas such good news that your friend's grandson is off the ventilator, what a huge relief. Marydoll your SIL does sound like she is stuggling and is certainly behaving strangely; it could be grief, but it could be the early stages of dementia, all you can do is keep your eye on her.

Our son facetimed us yesterday, it was lovely to see the DGC. Little grandson wasn't a happy bunny, he had hurt his toe earlier and the plaster had come off and his toe was bleeding again; he had a really sad little face and kept lifting his foot up to show us, just to make sure we could see it! They do tickle me up, any injury, no matter how slight, is just so tragic; I just wanted to scoop him up and kiss his lovely chubby rosy cheeks? His older sister was more concerned with showing us her lolly ice and her latest dance moves, with no concern at all for her little brother's injury - all normal there then! Take care and keep safe everyone.
