Good luck to them.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present the bride and gorm.

He’s never had a job, flunked is expensive education. What could possibly go wrong?

And your point is .....?

timetogo2016 Sat 11-Jul-20 17:26:11

I think he is far too young and immature to get married.
He has never been in the real world and thanks to his parents he never will be.
She is an actress who also has never been in the real world.

I was engaged at 21. hmm

Kate1949 Sat 11-Jul-20 17:31:28

I was married at 20. We are still together.

MawB Sat 11-Jul-20 17:32:08

Good luck to them both!
We got engaged at about that age, both still at university and got married 50 years ago later this month.

PS Would you want VB as a MIL?

Summerlove Sat 11-Jul-20 17:39:05

Good luck to them

Wouldn't want either Victoria or David as in laws Maw

I was married with a baby at that age, that and lack of money makes you mature very quickly. Not that Brooklyn will have those concerns. I just hope he is happier than his parents seem to be.

I was engaged at 19 and married at 21.
It lasted nearly 61 years, but we were lucky.
Would I do it again? No, I missed out on so much, I should have met him 5 years later and “lived” a little, or a lot, in that time and so should he.

Ilovecheese Sat 11-Jul-20 17:49:40

Where did the last 20 years go?

GagaJo Sat 11-Jul-20 17:50:58

His parents are still together. They could make it a longish engagement.

"the bride and gorm" OUCH! I shouldn't laugh - but I didgrin

Ellianne Sat 11-Jul-20 18:01:19

Yes he has had an easy life, yes he wasn't cut for school, yes he's young and doesn't have a job, but he's in love and happy. The siblings are all very close, maybe he just wants to swap one happy home for another of his own.

BlueBelle Sat 11-Jul-20 18:05:48

Bit bitchy none of us know them and surely it’s up to them
Is everyone waiting for it to fail so they can say told you so
It’s hardly news is it

Ellianne Sat 11-Jul-20 18:13:19

Well said Bluebelle.

I do actually know someone who does know them, (through weekend football with the youngsters.) All normal enough kids.

BlueSky Sat 11-Jul-20 18:14:06

We've all got to learn from our mistakes!

GagaJo Sat 11-Jul-20 18:14:15

They could be the replacements to Meghan and Harry on GN. It’d make a nice change.

rafichagran Sat 11-Jul-20 18:15:16

Good luck to them, I hope they are happy.

They could be the replacements to Meghan and Harry on GN

No chance! grin

Lucca Sat 11-Jul-20 18:18:06

Hear hear Bluebelle.

DH and I met at school and got married when we were 21. It’s our Golden Wedding today. Getting married at a fairly young age can work sometimes!

Sussexborn Sat 11-Jul-20 18:30:28

The older I get the more I realise it is like a big lottery. Some people are lucky and hit the jackpot first time, some fall at the first hurdle and others put a lot of effort into keeping their marriage going.

Very different for them as going through difficult times financially either makes or breaks you. You have to depend on each other and work together.

I hope it all works out for them and they don’t take too much notice of social media.

EllanVannin Sat 11-Jul-20 18:54:00

Millionaires marrying into billionaires ? It's got to work !
Some wedding that'll be---minus the masks we hope ;)

PamelaJ1 Sat 11-Jul-20 18:55:25

I married at 20, he’s sitting next to me on the sofa.
We didn’t have it as easy financially as Brooklyn and we are still here. Hopefully they will be happy but I don’t really care.

Blondiescot Sat 11-Jul-20 19:08:23

And the problem is? I started going out with my soulmate the week after my 16th birthday, got engaged on my 18th birthday, married him at 21 and we're still going strong 36 years later. Good luck to the pair of them.
