Did you know that samosas are interchangeable for naan bread?

Is someone saying they are? I like naan bread, loathe samosas!

I'm making a curry for supper, like naan bread for "mopping" up sauce, according to him, no naan bread in shop, so bought samosas instead!

We made naan breads this week - garlic and coriander. Pretty good they were too!

At least he didn't bring bak ordinary bread - my husband would have done.

DD’s ex-BF once bought tartare sauce as a presumed alternative to fish sauce.

My DS2 would buy both and several different kinds of chutney. You should see the store cupboards and fridges (yes, plural) in their house.

They aren't because they are little deep fried (I think) parcels filled with meat or vegetables, I love those, the vegetarian ones the most. Naan bread can have a filling but is still suitable for mopping up. I have to couch this properly, in case the "m" word rears its head, I think many men would know that. Except my late father in law he described samosas as foreign muck when we gave him one, which made us want to serve them to him all the more

Ha, another case of a dh shopping!

My dh’s best was early in lockdown when he really liked doing the shopping in M&S (normally it’d be me, mostly in Asda) when a joint of pork was apparently the same as a piece of gammon.
‘I thought it was gammon,’ (said in injured tones.)

Not much use pointing to the label where it clearly said PORK, but I did it anyway. ?

Year ago I went to visit an aunt while on a visit to Scotland with my then boyfriend, he is a Muslim.
My Mum had told her he did not eat Pork, she made us Ham sandwiches.
It took me ages to explain that it all came from a Pig.
My Mum offered him a Full Scottish Breakfast too.

Never had samosas. Tried naam bread once but very dry.

I'm not keen on samosas and DH doesn't like naan bread.
We both like onion bhajis though.

Callistemon Domestic Goddess when it comes to home made soup!? Anything that involves rubbing in or kneading hurts! Although I make the occasional exception for scones.

kircubbin2000 naan bread is great for mopping up curry.

I would rather have (for example) a meat curry, some dahl and something like alloo ghobi saag and naan bread than have it with rice.
