Well it's a miserable Monday weather-wise in London - very grey and gloomy but dry.

So I'm getting me togs on and heading up river!

Tennis at 11.

The only exercise I will be getting today is cutting down a friends evil pyracantha hedge which has become a danger to the public.
Fortunately my OH has some welding gloves I can use ?

Tennis at 10
Bit tired as I did 19,000 steps yesterday. Yes I am smug?

We'll be going out for our usual daily walk after a long awaited visit to the dentist!

Very grey and gloomy here near Bristol

Dog walking x2.

After two weeks in quarantine, following my visit to DH in France, I’m very happy to be going out in the fresh air today! Freedom!

An hour of tennis, this morning.

janeainsworth Mon 19-Oct-20 08:59:48

Vigorous gardening for me, but tennis tomorrow.

janeainsworth Mon 19-Oct-20 09:00:43

Oh and I shall try to do some tai chi too.

We'll take ourselves off to New Brighton (opposite Liverpool on The Mersey) for a walk along the prom. The sea air is good and there is always something to watch on the river.

Tennis? Gosh. I might go for a walk after lunch but the forecast is for wet and windy weather.
I try to get some exercise every day but am sick of all our local walks these days. I've now volunteered to rake up the leaves on our large communal lawns. I'm scared I'll be terrible at it and will be scrutinised by nieghbours and will be bound to do something wrong but at least it'll be a change of exercise.

Gardening for me. Not managed a walk since the March lockdown

PamelaJ1 Mon 19-Oct-20 09:08:55

Wow 3 of us playing tennis! it’s going to be slightly sunny here.

Lollin Mon 19-Oct-20 09:11:15

Jane10 what tools are you using? Have you done it before? grin thought I'd start off the comments that might be made so you can get them over with quickly!

Jaffacake2 Mon 19-Oct-20 09:21:26

But of a rest today as hiked round Natural history museum with under 5s grandchildren yesterday. Lovely day and managed just under 8000 steps which is really good as have been ill with neurological illness and very ataxic. Nice to see dinosaurs through the eyes and minds of little ones !

Witzend Mon 19-Oct-20 09:23:30

Unless it’s actually chucking it down, I will be going for my usual walk.
Possibly a longer one today, since there’s a very big Asda I can get to via a huge park, with just a short trafficky bit at the Asda end.
I will then get the bus back - a walk too far - and uphill! - when laden.

J52 Mon 19-Oct-20 09:26:23

Do you ladies play Tennis in the rain? We do, the courts have a nonslip surface and as long as it’s only drizzle we play on.

Teetime Mon 19-Oct-20 09:38:08

Its rather nice here in the East Midlands. Monday morning is Walking Netball for me - we play modified exercises only with social distancing and sanitised balls as per England Netball requirements. Its still really good fun and lovely to be outside meeting friends.

Awesomegranny Mon 19-Oct-20 09:55:06

Grey here in Wiltshire but a brisk walk will do me good

Jane10 Mon 19-Oct-20 09:58:37

Lollin- I've been inaugurated in the secrets of the tool cupboard and have been officially authorised access to the rake. There was talk of a leaf blower but I must have fainted at the thought of such colossal responsibility. Nieghbours have said that they'll shout encouragement from their balconies or at least I think it was encouragement...

grandtanteJE65 Mon 19-Oct-20 10:04:31

We are going to clean the gutters. Does that count?

It should, considering the effort needed to get DH toff his backside.

I'm useless on ladders, so don't dare attempt it alone, which would be much, much easier!

grandtanteJE65 Mon 19-Oct-20 10:05:25

off not toff, sorry. I've just got a new lap-top and the keyboard is much lighter than on my old one.
