Last weekend our family had a go .My idea- stupid woman - it became really intense after a while.
So , your eight discs, book and luxury you would take ?
Sorry, you also have to say the one disc you would save.

At last by Ella Fitzgerald
I'm going slightly mad by Queen
You raise me up by The Bobcats (rockabilly)
Jealousy by Billy Fury
Requiem by Mozart
Norwegian Pine by the Beatles
Daydream believer by the Monkees
Minnie the Moocher by Cab Calloway

Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Attwood

Can I have unlimited paper and ink or does it have to be something more specific?

If I could only save one disc it would be You raise me up by The Bobcats

Handel: Water Music

Gay/Pepusch: “Fill Ev’ry Glass” from The Beggar’s Opera

Mozart: “Voi che sapete” from Figaro

Beethoven: Ode to Joy from the Ninth symphony

Brahms: Hungarian Dances

Fields/Kern: “Pick Yourself Up” from Swing Time, sung by Ginger Rogers

“Mackie Messer” from Die Dreigroschenoper

“Oh oh Chéri” by Françoise Hardy.

Book: A la Recherche du Temps Perdu

Luxury: Writing materials

One record: torn between Rogers and Hardy; perhaps Hardy by a short head. I review the list every few years. At one time my book was the works of Thomas Malory, but it occurred to me that when I was rescued my spoken language might be hard to understand after a diet of him, the Authorised Version and the Bard.

The reasons for choices could be interesting.

Oh, and if I could only take one record it would have to be the Mozart Requiem, I think. That’s odd, because if you asked me my favourite composer it would not be Mozart, but I think the Requiem would stand repeated listening very well.
