Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside , with no wind at the moment here in Brackley .
Today , my usual trips via Buckingham to Bicester and back, tempted to start to xmas presents slowly over next few weeks as that period this year seems unpredictable as to things .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dark E Kent. We are promised much rain + thunderstorms. Does nothing for the spirits.
Well done, Mick, that’s a really good idea to stock up on Presents.
A *Marydoll” empty today. Might drop in to see a friend after our walk. Market day, might get flowers or plants. The ones already in the garden cheer me up.
For those in pain, sorrow or sadness, I hope today brings some relief, everyone else, have a good day. Stay safe.

Morning Mick, morning All. No idea what it’s doing outside, too dark to get out of bed. Rain forecast is all I can tell you. Suspect a grumpy day ahead in corner-land, sleep was totally elusive for me. Mr C on the other hand slept like the proverbial baby and will be full,p of get up and go. How unfair is that? Your thought about plants might encourage a quick trip to our nearest garden centre grandMattie. You’re right, anything flowering is cheering. Please take care everyone, have the best day you can.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Dry and fairly mild but promised rain later.
We were told last night it is inevitable we will be in Teir 2 by the weekend. Nothing that wasn’t expected and I am sure if people don’t follow rules the whole country will follow soon after.
Had a lovely day with DD and DGS yesterday and we were planning our walks for the next few months as I was sure we were going into another teir so I won’t be able to go in her house. I think I can still care for my DGS in our house if needs be though.
Factory today, with some final deliveries to end the month and then this afternoon DD and I are off to view a double pram that we saw on marketplace.
I feel the weeks are shooting past and cannot believe it is 7 months since we went into lockdown. I have plans to do some repairs on chairs this weekend but they have hydraulic pumps on them do I don’t hold out much hope for a successful outcome???

Good morning, everyone, from a peaceful corner of Torbay on a very still day.

Five years ago today, I married my DH in a memorable ceremony in Cockington, a picturesque village near Torquay, where we also had our reception in a nearby hostelry, designed by Edwin Lutyens, The Drum. DH is in France (his main home) where lockdown restarts today. We shall “see” each other on Zoom later as I'm having lunch at a friend's house. Our semi detached (as described by my Vicar!) marriage works for us.

Wishing everyone with problems some relief and a good day to all.

Good Morning all, it’s dark and very blustery and wet here but forecast to improve slightly later on . The rain is keeping the security lights on. , seems less miserable so I left them
Another aimless day ahead , I need to make a birthday card , all the stuff is still out on the table from the last make , well something seems to go missing if I put it all away .... my excuse !
Managed to sleep till 6 this morning , but 8 would be nicer ?
Kettle boiled so good wishes to all missing and all poorly posters xxx

Ps Lovely photo of the semi-detacheds ?

Morning All

The sun is just up, turning the clouds a wonderful red here in the north of Norfolk. And its getting redder as I watch it. Not a good omen for the day!

After a few days of busyness when I've not even looked at GN, I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms. DH is out this morning so I can have a nice long relaxing catch-up!

The sky has turned apricot now.

Have as good a day as you can everyone.

NfkDumpling Thu 29-Oct-20 06:45:36

Happy Anniversary Ashcombe winewine

grandMattie Thu 29-Oct-20 06:47:02

Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs. Ashcombe. ?

MawB2 Thu 29-Oct-20 06:51:03

Good morning all - you are early birds!
Grey here and I believe the forecast is poor.
How nice to have some happy wedding anniversary news in the face of all the doom and gloom, although the recent and current lockdowns can’t be making your lives any easier - happy anniversary to you both though!
To everybody, keep safe and wishing you a pleasant day.

Grammaretto Thu 29-Oct-20 06:52:20

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Dark and cold here but not yet the promised winds.
Sorry you and DH are parted Ashcombe this virus affects us all.
DH is in hospital. I have made an appointment to visit for an hour today. It's like prison. The nurses are kind but firm and I was gently asked to leave yesterday.
Flowers sound a very good tonic grandMatte ?

baubles Thu 29-Oct-20 07:01:10

Good morning Mick, morning all. Looks like there’s another showery day in store for us here in South Lanarkshire although it’s dry at the moment. The sky is beautiful, streaked with red and pink.

Waiting with bated breath for the announcement from the FM as to which tier we will be in. Otherwise a quiet day lies ahead which is ok after yesterday when we had a lovely three hours with DD’s brood, childminding after school.

Take care of yourselves.

grandMattie Thu 29-Oct-20 07:04:06

Maw, I post -late-! I’m normally awake by 0500 and wait for half to one hour before getting up.
DH is a very noisy fidgety sleeper and I sleep lightly. Not a good pairing!

Beauregard Thu 29-Oct-20 07:04:59

Good morning all. I'm hoping to get my shopping done before the heavy rain arrives in my part of Derbyshire this morning. Although, I might pop to a garden centre afterwards to try and buy winter pansies.

Cockington - what a beautiful place to get married Ashcombe as I saw when I visited it recently. Happy anniversary flowers

Hope your DH is better and out of hospital soon Grammaretto flowers

Hope everyone is feeling well and has a good day.

baubles Thu 29-Oct-20 07:07:24

Happy anniversary Ashcombe, lovely photo. thanks

Ashcombe Thu 29-Oct-20 07:07:54

Thank you for all your lovely, warm responses. ?
Grammaretto: I hope your husband is comfortable and you are both cheered by your visit today.
Yes, the virus has led to longer periods of separation than we had anticipated. We enjoy times together and apart in our respective homes: mine in a beautiful but busy part of South Devon, his in rural Sarthe, surrounded by an acre of land. Absence really does make the heart.......! ❤️

Beechnut Thu 29-Oct-20 07:09:38

Good Morning all. More rain expected today on Severnside.
I think I stole your sleep cornergran as I have slept later than previous days this week.

Another day to be spent indoors. I hope my parcel comes today.
Wishing you a Happy Anniversary Ashcombe and Mr Ash.

Thinking of everyone with troubles, take care and stay safe ?

Pantglas2 Thu 29-Oct-20 07:11:19

What a lovely photo of you both Ashcombe - happy anniversary ?and morning everyone from a damp north Wales where we’re expecting torrential ☔️!

Nothing planned today after my eye watering hour with the red onions yesterday (pot is on its way, grammaretto) will need to print some more labels but that’s my last lot of preserving for this year!

Have a lovely day everyone in these trying times x

Sark Thu 29-Oct-20 07:17:29

Good Morning Mick, all the earlybirds and all to follow.
Haven't looked out but forecast rain today.
Just a usual work day.
As Taichinan said yesterday it is lovely reading all about the 'goings on' and arts and crafts and gardening etc all you clever ladies get up to.
Happy Anniversary Ashcombe have a great day flowers
Grandmafrench oh dear..full lockdown again..think we will probably follow you.
Thinking of all with worries
Have a good day all

NanKate Thu 29-Oct-20 07:21:45

Morning Mick and All.

A grey damp is day in South Bucks.

What a lovely photo of the Ashcombes ?

So pleased you are allowed to visit your DH Grammaretto even if it feels like a prison visit. ?

I have a catching up day today I do hope I can keep myself focused and manage to tick things off my To Do List, I am so easily distracted by my book, the papers and GN ?

Georgesgran Thu 29-Oct-20 07:24:26

Good morning from Durham. Up at the ‘crack of a spuggy’s fart’ today, as we are getting a smart meter fitted. Not really bothered - but a condition of our tariff to have one. Been ongoing since March and we’ve had numerous visits and part of the block paved drive uplifted!

Heating on full now to warm the house as both gas and electricity will have to be switched off at some point.

Will walk DD2’s little dog after the work’s done in whatever weather we are allocated today.

Hope everyone has the best day today. Congratulations to some GN’s and sincere commiserations to others. X

brook2704 Thu 29-Oct-20 07:25:51

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s just getting light. It’s dry just now but the rain is forecast to be coming in later and staying for a while.
Hope your DH is doing ok grammaretto and you too, hope he’s back home soon
A very Happy Anniversary Ashcombe I hope you both enjoy your day even though you’ll be celebrating apart ??. A lovely photo of you both too
Nothing much planned today, maybe a walk with wellies and brollies if we can brave the weather later!
Take care everyone and stay safe especially when out and about ?

Grandmabatty Thu 29-Oct-20 07:27:39

Good morning All from a dark and damp Polmont. I believe it will be much wetter later. Happy anniversary to you both Ashcombe. And I hope your husband is home soon Grammaretto. You must be worried. I've nothing planned for today. Yesterday I met up with my ds at a cafe as we aren't allowed in other households. It was lovely to see him and have a blether. I dropped off stuff my aunt had given me ages ago for him that's been cluttering up the dining room so that was good too. I think I'm going to stay in and potter today, after I've dropped dgs off at his granddad's house and picked up a loaf. Whatever you are doing, have a good day all.

Dwmxwg Thu 29-Oct-20 07:32:20

Good morning Mick and all from north Surrey, looks dry at the moment but the rain is forecast.
I tried to have a sleep in this morning but gave in after an hour of tossing and turning trying to get back off to sleep.
Once awake my head goes into plan mode so I have decided on writing a letter to an old school friend rather than a social media catch up. Will make a refreshing change.
Dog walking and the usual catching up washing and ironing before the DGSs arrive.
DH is going to attempt to get a GP appt, most likely a phone call. He has had a “cold” for 4 weeks which has developed into a cough which seems to come and go and he gets fatigued which is very unlike him. I was 99% sure not Covid but knew that would be the first suggestion from GP so he has been tested and was negative. He probably has got a virus, but not “that one”
Happy Anniversary Ashcombe , love the photo of you both on your wedding day. I do hope you can be together again very soon
Sending good wishes to all GNs
