Love it vampirqueen, especially as one who can claim to be a Yorkshire lass having been born there and staying there for three whole weeks!

My mum was from West Yorkshire and lived there until she married and went to live in London. She always, always said that Yorkshire people were more friendly and welcoming than the cold Southerners. Me, I was born in London and have lived in Australia most of my life so I wouldn’t know.

Seconded!

I live in Yorkshire and am currently on holiday in the dales.
It’s just so so beautiful, if I never go abroad again I don’t care.
We walked 13k yesterday and only saw about 6 people.
Everyone you meet is friendly.
The photo is the start of our walk through Jervaulx Abbey.
