Irrational dislikes on sight

Are there any famous or well known people you just dislike for no rational reason ?
Nigel Farage is one for me
Simon Cowell another. Never met either of them and probably never will but even before I knew what they were known for, something made me dislike them.

Plenty of rational reasons (is that tautology?) to dislike Farage.

Esspee Thu 24-Jun-21 08:52:19

I agree with Lucca.

Tony Blair,he is so smug.
Nigel Farage reminds me of a cartoon caricature, and Bill Clinton.
To name but a few.

Davina McCall.

There are two men on BBC Breakfast (I think of them as ‘cocky little men’) called Chris and Mike. Mike Bushell and Chris Hollins. I can’t stand them

GillT57 Thu 24-Jun-21 10:10:33

Farage is one, and David Walliams is another, he makes my flesh crawl.

GillT57 Thu 24-Jun-21 10:12:21

Oh and I can't stand Alex Jones on the One Show, apart from the sheer banality of the reporting, her voice is like finger nails on a blackboard to me, I have to turn it off immediately.

Cliff Richard has always made me shudder.

greenlady102 Thu 24-Jun-21 10:14:06

Gareth Malone.

Funny thing is, although I don’t like his politics, I don’t dislike Boris or even that weird orange American.

annodomini Thu 24-Jun-21 10:24:46

Ryland Clark-Neal makes my flesh creep. I'm in a minority, it seems, but he always looks slimy to me and I don't like his manner of speaking, his accent, his grammar....

Chewbacca Thu 24-Jun-21 10:25:05

Slightly different but the voice of Stacey Dooley is like nails down a blackboard for me; I can't bear to listen to her. Which is a pity because she's an excellent investigative journalist and I'd like to listen to more of her programmes.

Phillip Schofield confused

Grandma70s Chris left BBC breakfast years ago.
My list could be soooo long, but I’ll start with the three who are on after BBC breakfast sometimes, Gloria Hunniford, Angela Ripon and the other one. Still on breakfast, Naga Munchetty irritates with her snide remarks. I could drone on, but won’t.

Ellianne Thu 24-Jun-21 10:33:48

On sight Jeremy Clarkson, though what comes out of his mouth can be quite funny.

Poppyred Thu 24-Jun-21 10:34:38

Tony Blair
Bob Geldof
Garry Lineker

Ellianne Thu 24-Jun-21 10:35:26

Crossed post monk08.
Are we meant to be talking about "on sight" as in looks, or in behaviour and the way they speak?

TrendyNannie6 Thu 24-Jun-21 10:37:08

Phillip Scofield, Lionel Blair, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Carol Vorderman, Gemma Collins,

Oh, did he? I still can’t/couldn’t stand him.

I don’t mind Naga Munchetty.l

N ovak Djokavic - may have spelt that incorrectly - for his demonic stare with lots of white around the eye. Suranne Jones - voice and gurning. Paddy Mcguinness - voice.

I feel mean naming anyone but that is the name that immediately came to mind!

mumski Thu 24-Jun-21 11:00:22

Agree about Paddy Mcguinness. He's turning into a joke "Professional Northerner". His fake accent has got heavier and heavier even though he hasn't lived in Bolton for years. Seriously irritating.
