Morning Mick and all who follow. Had a shock to my system when temperature hit 9 last night. Oh I know the awfulness is coming but this was so sudden. Yikes! I'm looking forward to a nice lunch with a family member today. May have to look out something warmer to wear than I was planning. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s dark as yet but dry at present. We are going over to see my stepfather at some time today. It’ll be lovely to spend a bit of time with him (finally) but he readily understood the reasons for us not being able to go before today. As he said he was glad to hear the virus L’il Miss had wasn’t Covid.

Where are you posting from Kim19 with such low temperatures?

Good morning from my last day in Leamington. I'll go with DD1 to take the two youngest to school then it's the 10.23 train back into London. I'm going to get a cab across London to Fenchurch Street, then another hour on the train back to Essex by the sea. I'm hoping to be home around 2'sh.
It's been lovely seeing all the girls but I'm looking forward to getting home.
Have a great Tuesday everyone xxx

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s dry for now anyway. The rising sun is making a lovely rosy glow low in the sky.

We have someone described as a ‘plastic surgeon’ coming this morning to look at a little crack in the staircase this morning. I should ask if he can repair my face while he’s at it.

Good news about ‘my’ charity shop, they have re opened after only one week. A couple of other branch managers are covering until the new recruit starts in the middle of the month. I’m going to pop in today to introduce myself.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day as always. ??

MayBeMaw Tue 28-Sep-21 07:12:15

Good morning Mick and all. Yes, definitely Autumn now isn’t it?
A group of us are taking another friend out to lunch today as it was her birthday yesterday, but other than that, my day looks empty.
Hmm. I washed some jumpers yesterday which had been sitting in the charity shop bag in the garage until I decided to reprieve them for another year!
(Maybe I should get that bag to the charity shop before it all ends up back in the wardrobe?)
Wishing you all a pleasant day and some relief for those in pain or distress. )

I wish everyone a good day.

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s a dry and bright start to the day
Not much planned today, just my Fitsteps dance class which I really enjoy and then I’ll probably come back home and potter in the garden and do a bit of housewor
Safe journey home Sar

Good morning Mick and all from high cloud in S Hants, heating has kicked in ?.
I had a pleasant lunch out with a friend yesterday, sat half in/half outside the restaurant, it was pretty windy. MrJ managed to get diesel thanks to the village ‘jungle drums’, if he’d failed, there’d have been no work after tomorrow.
Bit of admin, washing and hoovering today.
Enjoy your day all ???.

dragonfly46 Tue 28-Sep-21 07:28:17

Good morning from overcast Leicestershire.

Will try to see the doctor today as the wasp sting I had a couple of weeks ago has swollen and is red and hot. Hoping it isn’t the start of lymphodema!

Wishing every one a good day.

NanKate Tue 28-Sep-21 07:29:55

Morning Mick an All.

Cold here in South Bucks.

Off to have my feet sorted this morning then to meet a friend for coffee.

Beechnut Tue 28-Sep-21 07:44:23

Good Morning all from Severnside. There’s some blue patches in the sky so I’m hopeful for a pleasant autumn day.

Off to swimming pool for a while this morning. I may also see if I can book a flu jab. I might be like the Blondie song, Hanging on the telephone.

Have a good day folks ?

ginny Tue 28-Sep-21 07:45:13

Good morning, we’ll it is dry so that’s a good start.
Up and busy early ( ish) as we are off to Bournemouth for a few days. We are meeting friends that we met on holiday in Thailand just before Covid struck. We have enough diesel to get there so hope we can find more along the way.
Thoughts with all who are troubled in any way and hope everyone finds a smile today.

Grandmadinosaur Tue 28-Sep-21 07:47:45

Good morning all. It’s dry but chilly in East Yorkshire.

Thank you everyone for my Birthday messages yesterday. I had a lovely day with afternoon tea with my dear friend who really spoilt me. Then a family meal in the evening. I had some nice presents including theatre tickets, jewellery, hand creams and a picture of a rainbow my dgs had painted for me. Him and mummy had also baked me some buns after school which was very thoughtful. I had blown up some balloons for when he came to bring my presents as to him that is an essential part to Birthdays. It is when you are 4 !

This morning I have my usual coffee morning but nothing else planned for later.

Dragonfly ouch that sounds nasty. I hope you can get it sorted.

Take care everyone.

Good morning from the Black country sun trying to break through so have put towels in the wash hopefully can put them out rather than tumble them.
Bedrooms may get a treat today and have a visit from vacuum.
Welcome any newbies, safe travels for anyone on the move and best wishes for anyone celebrating.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from Shropshire where it’s still raining.

The visit to the school nursery went well.B really enjoyed it and we ended up staying for the whole of the morning session. He cried when it was time to leave.

Halfway through the afternoon DH and I started to feel unwell. We have spent the last few days with family and it seems there have been several cases of Covid at the children’s school and nursery. The result was that we went for a Covid test on the way home?DH has developed a dreadful cough and I have a really sore throat.

Thoughts with mattie and harri????

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 28-Sep-21 07:56:14

Good morning from a chilly but clear Oxfordshire.
Same things to do today as yesterday, DD2 still very sick, injection and pills not working so I’m about to join the phone queue for an appointment with her GP (I’m ever the optimist) as the call back didn’t happen yesterday and she is still so poorly.
Hope the day improves………
Hugs for all those with worries.

harrigran Tue 28-Sep-21 07:56:55

Good morning from the NE where it is quite bright.
7 degrees here at 10pm last night but at least the rain had stopped.
DH's prescription was not delivered, I rang the pharmacy and they said they didn't know it had to be delivered to the house, it is only a month since we jumped through hoops to get it put in place. Did they really think I would go to that bother for a one off delivery ? The fact that the prescription was for morphine should have told them all they need to know.
DH has a telephone appointment with the oncologist today, we need to ask if it is really necessary to put DH through a bone scan they have lined up for him.
Yesterday afternoon my friend turned up with a freshly baked quiche because she remembered that DH liked them.
Nurse visited yesterday and I asked her about DH's booster vaccination and she told me to ring the GP practice and ask to have him put on the community nurse home vaccination programme. Joy of joys an age spent on hold listened to music and covid messages until it was my turn.
Sorry about that, all I seem to do is moan these days but it seems as if you have to go through three falls and a submission before you can get people to listen or help.

NannyJan53 Tue 28-Sep-21 07:58:09

Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country, but it is still fairly warm.

On the drive over to take SIL to Shrewsbury Hospital yesterday, I must have past 6 petrol stations, all without fuel! Luckily I had 1/2 tank. Now it is down to a quarter, but not planning to use the car this week. Afterwards, spent time with the DGD's playing Boggle and Rummikub.

No real plans today, may make some Baps, a Delia Smith recipe which is so easy to do. Ironing has been staring me in the face for a while, which I am saving for a rainy day.

That sounds painful Dragonfly my 10 year old DGD was stung repeatedly a few weeks ago by wasps. it was awful, but she seems ok now.

Wishing you all a lovely day

kittylester Tue 28-Sep-21 08:17:40

Good morning. My bit of Leicestershire is brightening so there is hope Dragonfly. Hope your sting can be sorted quickly.

We are off to Corby on the hunt for a new bed - hope it isn't a waste of petrol. Phone calls this pm.

And, Butgerologist burgers for tea.

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 28-Sep-21 08:18:27

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Today an art club restarts at 10 am so I have to get a move on. I have nothing ready for the club, so there will be some dashing and grabbing.
Haven’t heard any more about the potential buyer for my picture so guess she’s cooled off. Never mind, we are thinking of having a exhibition in the church hall soon.
Hope everyone has a good day!

Gingster Tue 28-Sep-21 08:18:55

Good morning all and we are back in Essex.

Today we have dental appointment, eyes tests and Bridge club this afternoon.

Sar I hope your journey home goes well . ?

Susan hope your tests are negative and you and dh feel better soon. ?

Gentle day to all. ????

Ashcombe Tue 28-Sep-21 08:21:12

Good morning, everyone, from a chilly (9deg) Sarthe.

A few GM's with health issues this morning, either themselves or family, so I hope these will ease with recovery following soon. Covid case numbers continue to fall here in France with mask wearing still required in all public areas. My “fit to travel” test was negative so I now have the certificate to enable me to fulfil my booking for the ferry on Thursday.

I feel for you harrigran with all these frustrations and hope things fall into place more readily from now on and that DH is as comfortable as possible. Thoughts and prayers with you, grandMattie and any others who are suffering pain of any kind. ?????

Grammaretto Tue 28-Sep-21 08:24:34

Good morning from the Scottish Borders. It is not raining and looks bright for my walk this morning.
Harrigran I feel for you so much. A year ago exactly I was in the same place as you.- queuing at the chemist or on the phone to doctors. Eventually we managed to arrange something called "Hospital at home" and all the services came to us and I could at last relax and spend time with DH.

Sar I hope you and your DH haven't contracted covid.

My long wait now is still for the plumber and the electrician. A retired paediatric surgeon came to my open studios at the weekend and I asked him if he had plumbing skills as a joke and he said he would change his clothes and set to with the drain rods next weekend if my blockage wasn't cleared by then. grin
