Great news that you have a date, soop. Not too many weeks to wait now. Thanks for the buffet and champagne. Most welcome.
Pantglas, the mince pies are delicious too. Lovely new kitchen by the way.

kittylester Tue 18-Jan-22 16:48:18

Hi soop, so glad to hear that it is all systems go for your op - there will be no stopping you then!!

Today is Bertie's 10th birthday. This is the birthday boy and his mini me - Wolfie.

Sar53 Tue 18-Jan-22 16:56:17

I'm very happy to hear that things are moving forward for you Soop. A lovely break to look forward to in the summer.
It's been a very cold, dreary day here in Essex and I've had some worrying news about one of my granddaughters.
My daughter and I are trying to not worry too much until we have more information.
This kitchen is such a warm, comforting place to be.

Grandmajean Tue 18-Jan-22 16:59:06

Delighted you have a date Soop
I wish you all the luck in the world.
We are heading to the Highlands in the summer too.

Grandmabatty Tue 18-Jan-22 17:01:08

Good afternoon kitcheners and Soop. Kittylester happy birthday to Bertie who looks like a fine young man and Wolfie, who looks lovely. Sar ? I hope things aren't as bad as you fear. I've brought the chocolate chip cookies with me.

Jaxjacky Tue 18-Jan-22 17:08:49

Good news soop and a holiday you can look forward to.
Imogen tested positive for Covid, PCR came back this morning, she just has a ‘scratchy throat’, hope it stays as that. Two drives done today for lovely clients, which most of them are.
Have a gentle evening all x

soop Tue 18-Jan-22 17:17:23

Jax and all good wishes to Imogen.

That’s really brilliant news soop a date in the diary and a summer holiday to look forward to! I’m so pleased for you
Hoping all is ok with your DGD Sar?

Aldom Tue 18-Jan-22 17:40:28

Good evening everyone. I'm so pleased to see that Soop now has a date for her operation. Hoping the next few weeks of waiting will be tolerable Soop.
Today I've had my friend for lunch. She has dementia so doesn't really cook for herself now. It's a real pleasure to see her enjoying a home cooked meal.
I'm going to sneek a large slice of your chocolate cake Muse. I'll leave some meringue nests filled with creme fraiche and blueberries for anyone who fancies them.

maddyone Tue 18-Jan-22 17:43:31

I haven’t been in the kitchen for over a week, so not up to date with all your news, but fabulous news soop that you’ve got a date for surgery.
Nothing exciting happening in our lives, we’re keeping a bit of a low profile and letting Omicron go on its way before we emerge again.
We did go to son’s house on Sunday for lunch, which was nice.

Grandmabatty Tue 18-Jan-22 17:51:51

JaxJacky ? and I hope Imogen is okay

Jaxjacky Tue 18-Jan-22 17:59:04

Thank you Grandmabatty.

Blossoming Tue 18-Jan-22 17:59:52

Hello again Soop and dear Kitcheners. Beautiful boys Kitty.

Hope your GD gets some positive news Sar and Imogen is not too poorly Jax.

The meringue nests sound delicious Aldom

SueDonim Tue 18-Jan-22 18:13:07

That’s only about six weeks away, Soop! How exciting! Not only that, by the time it’s done and dusted we will be on the verge of Spring and everything will look brighter. ‘Happy days are here again!’

As to my recent spurt of energy, it’s a mystery to me as I am not usually at all energetic. I don’t recognise myself right now. grin

No decluttering today as I went with Dh to the car dealer. He ended up getting four new tyres. We went into town while it was being done, walking along a main road into the city centre. Not a pleasant experience with HGV’s whizzing past your ears and the wind blasting you as you went round each corner. Lunch out, then I picked up a baby outfit of top and leggings for £3.50 for my youngest GC.

We caught the bus back to collect the car though even that wasn’t simple as the bus stop had been moved to a different road altogether! All due to Covid, apparently. confused

Have a lovely evening everyone. Xxx

brook2704 Tue 18-Jan-22 18:16:32

Hoping Imogen isn’t too poorly Jax and she recovers quickly

Nannytopsy Tue 18-Jan-22 18:22:29

Glad to hear your news soop - time will soon pass.
We are having a big sort out, rearranging furniture and clearing out things we didn’t need to bring when we moved, at the same time as getting bedrooms ready for the family at the weekend. It seemed like a good idea at the time!
Thank you for the mince pies Pantglas - my favourite!
I hope you all have a good night.

Charleygirl5 Tue 18-Jan-22 18:33:51

Kittylester I cannot believe it is 10 years since Bertie was a babe in arms. Wolfie is also growing- they are a pair of handsome young boys, their mother should be proud of them as I know their grandmother is!

aggie Tue 18-Jan-22 18:41:37

It’s great that you are getting help now Soop , the time will soon pass till you are over the surgery and enjoying that holiday ?

cornergran Tue 18-Jan-22 19:22:33

Good news indeed soop. The time will fly past.

How did Bertie get to be 10 kitty? That photo is magic.

I’m sorry about your news sar. No matter how much we try we do worry about the young ones. Good wishes winging to Imogen jax. Always something for isn’t there?

January is a sad month for us. We’ve passed thr anniversary of my ma in laws death. Today the anniversary of my Dads death. Four more significant losses to come and of course the hard two weeks ahead for our son and daughter in law as they remember their lost baby. I seem to have noticed the dates more this last year. Something else to blame covid for maybe.

We were given a large lemon drizzle cake today. I’ve left it in a tin on the side. It will be fine for a few days. Please save me from myself grin. Far too much cake here already.

Take care everyone. TOYA.

muse Tue 18-Jan-22 19:32:58

Time will fly soop. Excellent news.? Lots of sweet goodies tonight ?Thank you all.

?? It gets no worse than a scratchy throat. Jax. Same for your GD Sar53.

??Happy birthday Bertie

Dogsmakemesmile Tue 18-Jan-22 19:45:29

Wonderful news soop. I am so happy for you.
Sar 53 fingers crossed that your grandaughter's situation resolves itself quickly. Look after yourself. Jax I hope Imogen bounces back very soon.
Looked after my granddaughter. Not as warm but dry enough to play in the garden for quite a while. Read, read and read more books. I cannot get into Peppa Pig but I grin and bear the stories. And put on my best animal voices. No decluttering today. TOYA

Jaxjacky Tue 18-Jan-22 19:57:44

Thank you all for your good wishes, I’ll pass them on to my daughter, it’s appreciated xx
