Jessie Wallace Arrest!

So Jessie Wallace knees a policeman in the privates while drunk, and shouts a mouthful of obscenities during a drunken bust up on a night out! And put into back of police van while cuffed by two officers, arrested on suspicion of assaulting police officer an offence which carries up to 12 months behind bars! BBC have told her off, I’m just wondering what would have happened if a man had done this to a female officer would they just get a telling off!

She’s one of the reasons I don’t watch EE anymore - I know it’s only a part she plays - loud and brash ?

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 22-Jun-22 14:34:02

Who is Jessie Wallace?

BlueBelle Wed 22-Jun-22 14:35:17

Is she in Eastenders don’t watch it but think I vaguely recognise the name

Chestnut Wed 22-Jun-22 14:42:49

I agree Audio10. She should have been sacked immediately, it's disgraceful behaviour. It seems like the Police and the BBC have both let her get away with it which is completely wrong. Being a female celebrity seems to have done the trick.

I have never watched EE but know who she is. She has always struck me as a right 'fishwife' (for want of a better word) so this doesn't surprise me at all.

My grandma was a fishwife.

Its OK, I'm not offended smile

No, I don’t watch Eastenders! Used to years ago when Den & Angie were in it. Every episode I’m told is either a screaming match, or someone wanting to have a punch up ?

GrannyGravy13 Wed 22-Jun-22 14:55:12

Do not watch any soaps, I believe she has a history with alcohol.

I assume she will be going to court sometime and if found guilty maybe then Eastenders will have to review her position.

Jaxjacky Wed 22-Jun-22 14:59:47

No Audi10 if it had been a man there would’ve been all sorts of very loud outrage.

Audi10 Wed 22-Jun-22 15:02:32

Yes Exactly Jaxjacky

Jaxjacky Wed 22-Jun-22 15:06:20

Particularly if the assaulted police officer had been female!

So, she has a history with alcohol....that's alright then.......let her do just what she wants. Not!!!!!

Alone apparently I actually watch EastEnders! She must be typecast.

lemsip Wed 22-Jun-22 15:11:48

jessie wallace IS her character just reading a script....that's the probem...
The police officer was male! That's why she kneed him in his groin.
...............................................................

The Kat Slater actress, 50, has 'expressed her deep regret' after she allegedly told a police officer to 'f* off you fat c***' outside a nightclub
She allegedly kneed the officer in the groin before she was arrested and placed into a police van, but she was later released without charge....

Galaxy Wed 22-Jun-22 15:11:48

I am not sure anyone is saying that. It was certainly the line that was trotted out with regard to Ant s drunk driving.

False equivalence.

Woman attacking man is not the same as man attacking woman.

volver Wed 22-Jun-22 15:22:02

(Hard hat on)

GrannyGravy13 Wed 22-Jun-22 15:27:29

H1954. I definitely did not imply thats alright then

Her behaviour as reported is not acceptable and if found guilty she should be treated accordingly, regardless of her sec or fame.

FarNorth Wed 22-Jun-22 15:31:10

Released without charge? Seriously?
She clearly assaulted a police officer.

Gingster Wed 22-Jun-22 15:36:24

There was another actress from EE arrested In Southend not very long ago for obscene behaviour. It seems the character acting is rubbing off on their real lives.

Where did she work Volver did she follow the silver darlings? I've been to Cullen and Buckie and seen the displays .
I also lived in the North East where they are very proud and rightly so of their heritage. Such awful smelly hard graft.

volver Wed 22-Jun-22 16:15:37

The fishwives were the ones selling the fish, mainly from the creels on their backs, Yammy. So mainly close to home. But she was also a gutting quine, up and down the east coast. Gamrie to Lowestoft. wink

Thank you for being interested.

I saw her in front of me in the queue in M & S in Epping once. She seemed normally pleasant when she spoke to people, no swearing.
But to be fair it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
I think alchohol fuels a lot of these outbursts.

We used to think a neighbour across the road (many years ago) abused his wife, which seemed surprising as she was a large, very tough woman and he seemed very nice.
Turns out it was the other way round but I don't know how much damage she inflicted.
