I was brought up to say I'm fine and still do it when the Dr .phones luckily she laughs and just asks what the problem is.
I do it at the Dentist and then give him a list of what has cracked or dropped off.
We've just had visitors among decoraters etc. I was really on my knees but when asked replied "I'm fine". It was considered polite not to give chapter and verse about ailments.

Chestnut, I found that poem among my Dad's things. He often used to quote from it, especially that his get up and go had got up and went.

I like to think that I feed the light and hope wolf but the other one sometimes steals his food.

I always ask people who say "im fine" "honestly how are you REALLY?" but never tell anyone how i am .
