Would you personally feel miffed, if you were going to spend the morning with you GC and parents thinking that you would stay till about midday and then go home .. then to be told My X husband is arriving earlier so could then go home when he arrives .. I was hurt and very angry by this

Yes, I would feel miffed, do you speak to your ex at all? Would he be willing to go a bit later so that you don't have to leave so early? Is it impossible for you both to be there together?

Yes we are not on bad terms , I was amazed by my daughter asking me this , in fact he is having lunch there and staying the rest of the time, as he is alone this Christmas ... I shall have about two to three hours

Do you really have to leave when he arrives? As you are on reasonable terms you could overlap till you are ready to leave.

I would actually like feel very hurt! Especially if you get on ok. I know it is now way past the day, but what did you do?

Yes I'm curious to know the outcome.

Perhaps even though you are generally on good terms with your X your AC thought there maybe problems between the two of you that might spoil the day.
