It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Happy Christmas to all. Yes I'm almost ready as well, just some cooking to do tomorrow.

Our tree. It’s a small one this year growing in its pot.

I’m catering for two this year, so just the ham to cook, probably Christmas Eve although we are doing the rounds delivering all the distance apart presents.

We have a larger green one in the living room, but the little white one is covered by my DiL.
It is in white twinkle mode, it has several different light modes with white, bright multi and pastel multi. We like the white lights best.

What lovely trees and here's me, I haven't bothered this year. I remembered the lights going caput last year so I threw them out and didn't replace them.

They do brighten things up though and I like sitting with just the glow of tree lights, they're warming.

Looks lovely grandtante and is that a festive box of chocs I see??

Thank you, keeping Christmas traditions as normal is helping me get through this year, we would have been 18+ house full to the brim.

Real tree here but have to say because we decided to trim up earlier than usual it's just starting (I think) to look a bit jaded
Btw the radiator behind it is turned off

It does feel odd not to be catering for hordes for once. Even when we went to a dd last year I took everything and cooked (I offered and was happy to) because dd was about to produce Gdc3. Highly capable SiL would have done it but he had more energy for entertaining Gdcs 1 and 2, then still only 3 and 4.

So I’ve never been so organised - very little still to do apart from yet more mince pies and the stuffing. I’ve even done dh’s stocking - except for the traditional tangerine (clementine now) in the toe.

Beautiful trees! My DH was convinced that we weren't going to celebrate at all this year, but bah-humbug to him!

We have the tree up, gifts and baking dropped off at front doors with a wave, and I have put on Christmas music while putzing around the kitchen.

Purchased a turkey breast and will make it stuffed with a sausage dressing. similar to this, and just right for the two of us with some leftover.

Yes, there are quality st chocs in the little baskets, that you can't actually see, on the tree.

No real tree here this year and ten year old fairy made by then three year old granddaughter has pride of place as always.
