Christmas Day bubble

Hi - would anyone know if a single grandparent can spend Christmas Day with the family if daughter is a childminder with two school age children. Stepson (adult) is spending the day with them as will otherwise be alone and works with the Dad.. I haven't formed a bubble with daughter due to her being a childminder. Her assistant however is spending the day with her mother as she offers childcare ? All in Tier 4 btw

As far as I understand things, you as a single person can bubble with your daughter, regardless of her being a childminder.

You can't 'double-bubble' so technically the adult stepson and you can't both be there.

As I said, that's the technicalities as far as I know.

Thank you that's really helpful, I suspected as much but so many people are saying why aren't you going to your daughter. It doesn't help ?

Tier 4 should not be mixing with other households unless in the support bubble.
