I like to read the Forums, doesn't really matter what about, because they are all interesting. I just nearly made a fool of myself, was reading about the competitions and prizes and the congratulations which are always nice. As I was reading it said that the book club had some books called the Midwifes Confession. I clicked on the link and went to a page that doesn't exist anymore. Disappointed I went back to the page I was on Competitions and it was dated GNHQ) Thu 28-Jul-11 15:33:22 I hadn't even noticed, still went back to read the rest of WON ANYTHING. Well done everyone.

Hi audnay don't beat yourself up, I put a friend of mine on to GN and she replied to something that was on the bottom of the first page of a l-o-n-g thread and of course it made no sense when it appeared because it was at the end of the thread 4 pages later. She felt such a fool she tells me she has never posted since. smile - with apologies to "On Broadway"

There's a lot of enjoyment to be had - (all together now)
on Gransnet
Providing you can give as well as take
on Gransnet ...

And you have had enough, you've read,
And you're replying to that thread

But you don't have the time to check ...

let's hope that you'll come back for more -
on Gransnet!

I think you should never worry about making a fool of yourself. If you do, it's soon forgotten.smile

I love to just browse the Forums too, sometimes I write something, then delete it, because I think it is rather controversial, and I have a feeling I have upset one or two people in the past (observing their replies to my postings), so now I just read and enjoy, and in some cases laugh incredulously at things people know, and I had never even heard of, or thought about. Gransnet is certainly a concotion of lovely diverse people.

Hi PRINTMISS, as I recall you are down on the Sussex coast.
You are most welcome to start a topic/contribute to a topic on the local forums for Worthing and/or Brighton & Hove grin

Also, thank you for writing a review for Amberley Museum on the listings page. It's a wonderfully interesting and informative piece, and just what we want on the local sites smile

Thanks for all the encouragement, I am not a shrinking violet! Happy to have controversial conversations with anyone, and can fight my corner, I do have strong opinions about some things, but have mellowed with old age, and so I will just continue to browse, add a word or two here and there, and enjoy the early morning catch-up. If you read my blog you will know I am very much involved with people with learning difficulties, and so could I ask if you see a sign saying 4Tea anywhere near you, you support the project. 4Tea is a celebration by United Response - the organisation which has cared for our son for the last 40 years, and it is their 40th year they are celebrating. They do a grand job country-wide, not only caring for people like my son, but lobbying for better understanding and conditions. Soap box now packed up.

Will look out for that PRINTMISS. smile
