What do we do if we actually show symptoms

If we get this awful thing, how do we treat our symptoms? Apart from staying in so that we don't spread it and presuming we don't get it badly enough to need hospitalisation, how are we supposed to relieve our symptoms? I really don't think anyone has told us that. I know we can't take anything to cure the illness but is there anything we can do to relieve it a bit?

Mainly just take paracetamol if you need it and drink plenty to stay hydrated.

The NHS website tells you this.

There is a lot of information on the NHS website

Paracetamol not ibuprofen.
Rest.
Fluids especially hot apparently.

Thank you. So basically it's paracetamol and water? As it is impossible (coronavirus or not) to buy more than one pack of paracetamol at a time, it will be difficult to get hold of more than a couple of days supply . That could be problematic. I have plenty of ibuprofen but I know there is doubt about taking that. I wonder if honey and lemon would help.

There’s plenty of information
You can get two packets of para a time and you can walk round and get another two packs but it’s a bit late now as there is probably none in the shops and you shouldn’t really be out if you feel ill
Treat it as ordinary flu unless you get the breathing problem

You could ask someone to get you more paracetamol. I’m sure honey & lemon would be fine, it’s a soothing drink anyway.
