Should I be feeling guilty?

My husband is on the vulnerable list and I have rheumatoid arthritis. We are in lockdown, but yesterday the chemist said we had to collect our prescription as they were overwhelmed for deliveries. My son, working from home, phoned to ask if we needed anything, as they are doing our shopping. He said he’d get the prescription, but had the kids as his wife (a nurse) was working. He couldn’t leave the kids at home and didn’t want to take them to chemist, so he brought them here, they sat at the end of our garden (way more then 2 metres)until he came back. It was such a boost, seeing them, but now I feel guilty. Did we do anything wrong? And what do we do next time?

It sounds to me as if you dealt with a tricky situation the best way you could in the circumstances, using common sense.

If it's possible to work out a better arrangement for future occasions, then fine. Another time your son might not be in charge of the children, for example. Otherwise do the same again.

Thanks Septimia, I barely slept last night thinking it all over, you are right, it was a tricky situation, but I wouldn’t let it happen again, however it solved a problem. They cycled here as their daily exercise then son used our car to drive to chemist at far end of village.

I wouldnt worry but I wondered about having your scripts delivered via a postal service.

I agree that you were put in a tricky situation.

Perhaps try and get your medication delivered by post in future. Your surgery or perhaps your son may be able to show you how to do this.
