It's DH's birthday. I did my best to make it as special as possible in the way of food and treats and even made him a card. However, easily the best bit was a secret surprise I organised with DD. Her and eldest DGS ambushed us on our daily walk in a secluded area. I must stress that social distancing was absolutely maintained throughout although the urge to hug DGS in his tiger onesie was almost unbearable. We had a lovely but distant chat and then carried on our walk on our own. DH said it was the best birthday ever and we've not got to the champagne and smoked salmon for later. (Well I've been saving up! ).
A strange birthday but almost more special under these odd circumstances. ? ??
