I know I'm not going to have symptoms of anything because I literally have not had contact with the outside world for over a month.

But I still can't find where I can install it for an Android phone in my area.

I have been doing this for several weeks, once you are registered it only takes a few seconds to do each day.

The huge benefit is to the nations scientists trying to track the probable spread of the disease throughout the country. Its not the one to inform about contacts. It is open to everyone in UK. Once you've logged on all you have to do is check in each day and say if you've been tested then how you are feeling. They're gathering all sorts of data regarding various differing presentations of the disease across age groups too.
I've found it incredibly reassuring to see that my local prevalence has reduced to 0.8.

That's the one I found Gagajo. I have absolutely no patience with these things, so I didn't bother to follow it up. It didn't show up as available in the area - or it could have been that my phone is too old. I'm not sure, but I'm really not that interested, so I didn't investigate. If I knew there were some benefit, I might.

This is the one.

It's to track the uk rate of transmission. Because as we know, those in hospital are the tip of the iceberg.

The updates are very positive. It seems from the data that transmission rate is hugely down since lockdown.

I think we need every positive we can get at the moment.

I tried to download it before and it said it wasn't available in my area?

My phone is stone age. I don't think it's up to it. What would be the advantage anyway? I don't have any physical contacts.

If you Google it its very straightforward to download. I wish I could put a link. Seriously, you wouldn't regret it. It's not that scary one where they know where you are so can tell you if one of your contacts has Covid 19.

I haven't a clue how to install an app on to my phone, so no, I won't be using it.

I put it up before. I agree! It's fascinating and their data is a lot more positive than the news. I know the news is realistic and dire but we need a positive POV too.

It only takes a few seconds to update each day , and you can now report for others with their permission .

I'm sure this has been mentioned before but in case anyone hasn't seen it I urge them to sign up to it and input how they are feeling each day. It's really interesting to see the results of their analysis each day. Regional variations and clear evidence of reduction.
