I found a webcam website some years ago and it had a live webcam on a beach in Tenerife. We've been staying near there for breaks in February and in the weeks before we go I always have a peek each day to see if people are walking round in t shirt / shorts. Today the weather looks glorious there but the beach is roped off with nobody about. Not even a lone person walking / cycling. Browsing through the other available webcams, it's fascinating to watch live film of the cities around the world, plus some wild life areas. I've just watched a man running for a water bus in Venice - never seen it look so empty - and a few folk walking the fairly empty streets in New York. Yes I know I need to get a life but it's raining outside. However the webcam in the Maldives showed lots of people playing volley ball on the beach. confused

How much harder must be in countries like France, Italy and Spain where even aquaintances are greeted with a kiss (or two)!

Just found it, or one similar, Skyline webcams, very interesting, even more so when the world is out of lockdown.

Skycam. I've been keeping an eye on the main street in Banff, Canada to see if the sidewalks are free from snow yet. They are but also free from people. We should have been going there next week, getting on the Rocky Mountaineer. There is a large pub on the corner and DH and I were going to wave via Skycam to GC back home.sad

Maybe that should be skyline cam, try either and you'll get there.

Well here's the Times Square, New York webcam. I can tell you, it's a lot busier there than three weeks ago! It was completely deserted except for one or two randoms.
Times Square webcam
Best to look in the evening in the UK because of the time difference.

I've looked again and Times Square isn't that busy after all. Maybe I caught an earlier shot when it was still daylight.
