Just in response to the comments on not using sanitiser on the trolleys, I carry my own sprays and wipes and do my own trolley the second I pick it up, which means I walk past the spray and roll of paper the shop is offering as I have already done it.

South West (report just out) shows it has the highest R rate in the UK. 0.9

Press are too keen to publish that deaths are going down.

0.9 means infection rate is still high. However it is thought to be the highest because of a recent rise in cases in the Bristol and Weston-super-Mare areas. This could continue to happen to any part of the South West. There are so many more people travelling to that area now.

The government is keeping a close eye on R as it reviews lockdown. If it goes above one, the epidemic will grow.

Thank you Woodmouse.

Those of us who live here can see on our local News or hear from friends and relatives about the high numbers of visitors to this area.

Your post has confirmed to me that I am doing the right thing to continue to shield.

I wish people would stop travelling to the south coast those of us who live here haven’t been flooding onto the beaches and the trippers now put us all at risk!

The easing of lockdown is more to do with Boris trying to salvage some popularity in the wake of the Cummings fiasco.
Personally I’m glad I don’t live in England.

Regarding not using sanitisers on trolleys. I prefer to use gloves and wash my hands rather than use chemicals.

Here is a guide from the FT. Might be useful.

Some risk you might like to consider.

A SAGE document just released confirms the scientific advice about social distancing guidance: "...best current evidence suggests that 1m carries between 2 and 10 times the risk of 2m of separation."

There are fresh outbreaks in Beijing. Previously any new sufferers were found to have brought it into Chiba after trace.

This new outbreak has been trace to another seafood market.

Rather alarmingly the Chinese have banned imported salmon from Norway amongst other places as covid has been found on tools that have prepared the salmon.

I’m sure they are just being extra careful.

That should read China after travel!!
