T&T has been added to the countries we now have to go into quarantine after visiting.
Not only have their borders been closed (even to nationals) making this completely irrelevant, but when you look at the statistics then T&T has had 548 cases p/m population with 9 deaths p/m whilst the U.K. has had 4744 cases p/m population and 609 deaths p/m.
When you compare the statistics clearly we represent a risk to T&T, not the other way round!
What is the government basing their decisions on?

I wish I knew!

I think it’s the exponential rise week on week, 25.81 per 100,000 this week compared to 9.10 the week before.

It seems to me they are trying to minimise our disastrous statistics (worst in Europe despite having been prewarned of what to expect via Italy etc.) by implying other countries are in a worse state than us.

I think having the Canary Islands on the list is mad. Lanzarote is full of German visitors and they had 5 new cases last week one from Spain ( They worried about the influx of young people but no problems ) one from the UK and three from Africa. You are far safer there than here but you have to sit in a plane to get there sadly.

I agree with JaxJacky

I think this country is the biggest risk to others and always has been.
No Qantas flights until next July.

Yes I understand JaxJacky but Tobago (which I consider my second home) has only 25 active cases at the moment.
