Nightingale hospitals

Anyone heard of what has happened to the Nightingale hospitals - so lauded in the first lockdown? You don't hear them mentioned any more even though virus cases are rapidly rising and they tell us that NHS is going to be seriously under threat.

I think the problem is staffing a Nightingale and also the hospital where those patients would have been admitted to instead.

Once the government ensured our European workers went home, with tier policies,
the NHS has been very short of staff, and there are not enough staff for hospitals or Nightingales.

I was reading that an American firm had been given the contract to dismantle our one in Glasgow.

Just checked. £400,000 contract awarded to an American company to decommission the Louisa Jordan hospital. ?

The one in Glasgow has been used for clinics,it has seen 12000 patients since June and been used for training new medical staff in " a covid free environement" 'Figures were released yesterday by Jeanne Freeman after questioning by Monica Lennon (labour MSP).Figures were confirmed by Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board .
