OH received vaccination letter today inviting him to make appointment, unfortunately on line booking says he isn't eligible.
I've rung them, and apparently letter should have said not to book until 15th.
Just in case anyone else is having same problem!

I was thrilled to get a text from my GP on Thursday inviting me to book an appointment for my vaccination. I was not expecting it so soon as I am 64 and am in category 7, after those aged 65 to 70, then younger people with underlying health conditions, then my age group.

I clicked on the link within seconds and am going today( Saturday). I don’t get the chance to book my second one at the local hub but that’s fine, I can wait for an appointment. The hub is about five minutes away so really convenient.

DHs letter arrived this morning and he's now booked in for tomorrow, and his second jab in May.

Where do you live teacherann? I'm 64 and didn't get a letter with DHs (though he is older than me)

My surgery phoned me the other day and arranged for me to have my first jab on Sunday and also arranged for the second one. I was very impressed given that they’d phoned before and I’d missed the call so they phoned again.

I got a txt inviting me to email my details to be included in over 60’s list,. Was amazed and delighted to get a call the next day bookingme for 17 th February and 2nd on 7th May. What an impressive slick job the NHS have done with this vaccination programme - fantastic!!!

Maybe the NHS should be in government. Just think, we could have effective Track and Trace, properly sourced PPE, efficient quarantine regulations etc. etc. etc.

After the system was updated yesterday to allow the over 65s to book I booked an appointment next week with a 2nd one in May. Immediately got a text and e mail confirmation which is very efficient and impressive

Thank you for that information. I’m having my first on Tuesday. I have to drive 20 miles and am looking forward to my outing with huge delight???

In our area there is a local online booking system where you can choose which centre you want to attend and day and time of your choice. It gets updated periodically in line with supply of vaccines and age group. I got my letter before it was updated but a day later I could book my slot. Then I got a second letter. DH got four letters! So a few hiccups but we are just grateful to have had our vaccinations.
My daughter had volunteered at a centre and at the end of her session she was offered a jab as they had some spare. She is not yet 50 so some may say it is queue jumping, but to me it is better not to waste any vaccine, and good that front line workers are getting g it.
DH has just read out to me that only 1 in 3 GPs have been vaccinated. If that is correct, I think there is something wrong!

Lord help us if the NHS was in government.

But I do think Kate Bingham should be made PM.

Update: NHS vaccination booking system has been updated so managed to book OH in.
He's in the Covid19 stakes at our local racecourse on Friday. Odds on favourite!
Going's a bit slower on mine as I'm not quite as old as himself. At 66 I won't have to wait long.
I'm so excited!

NHS booking system worked for me on Friday (65 +) and I had mine yesterday with a date for second one.
