Can we get the Self test kits that teachers use as we are looking after our grandchildren when parents stop working from home?

Probably best to contact your local health authority as each area seems to do things differently.

If you care for a school or nursery age child as part of a childcare bubble you can have twice weekly home lateral flow tests. (you do not need to be showing symptoms for these, that are a screening test. If you have symptoms you should get a full PCR test as normal) See my link above about how to obtain them .

They have sent my son home with enough to last until Easter. You can find your local site via here maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/ you ring ahead and then pick up the tests as far as I know

As everyone says yes. I am doing twice weekly testing at home. You can have them delivered or pick them up.
