Anyone watching live? Wow, just wow.

Nanagee57 Wed 26-May-21 10:43:42

Yep, explosive!

Trisha57 Wed 26-May-21 10:47:38

Extraordinary. It's what a lot of people felt was happening, except it actually was. What a price had and continues to be paid.

MayBee70 Wed 26-May-21 10:58:36

Gripped....

MayBee70 Wed 26-May-21 10:58:56

PMQT will be interesting....

I don't think its that wowish if you look at what is being said not how its being said. Of course herd immunity has to be considered as an unavoidable fact if there is no vaccine. That doesn't mean that you plan it or choose it.

Busy this morning but listening to a little wonder if his recollections might be different if he hadn’t have been sacked

Sparklefizz Wed 26-May-21 11:12:18

Recollections may vary. grin

yup.

Kali2 Wed 26-May-21 11:16:07

Utterly damning.

MayBee70 Wed 26-May-21 11:16:32

Either way it’s all documented so people can make up their own minds. He’s kept a record of everything.

Gannygangan Wed 26-May-21 11:20:35

Ah. Now we adore and believe everything that Demonic man has to say.

Baffling!

He's kept a record? I trust it's recorded. I want to hear this stuff

Posters who were trashing Cummings just a few months ago are now thrilled with his comments.

We were always told that Cummings was leading the country. Boris was just his puppet.

And of course that marvellous testing his eyesight trip

But now he's trashing the government the left all love him!

foxie48 Wed 26-May-21 11:23:45

I haven't heard anything but a brief clip on the news, however, he's a vile vindictive man so his memory might ((or might not) be selective. I've no doubt herd immunity will have been discussed, I'm sure it was in any country regardless of political leaning. TBH I always thought Cummins and Johnson were a match made in heaven,or in hell!

Daisymae Wed 26-May-21 11:26:27

I don't think that anyone is taking what he is saying this without question. The main issue I have with Cummings is that he seems to be responsible for Johnson getting elected. Assume that other recollections will come to light.

EllanVannin Wed 26-May-21 11:26:47

I knew he'd be back. It's been brewing with him for a long time.

westendgirl Wed 26-May-21 11:30:36

Very interesting , searching questions.

EllanVannin Wed 26-May-21 11:31:29

Over a year ago, on here, I said that there'll be an awful lot of people suing the government for the deaths of their relatives because of the laxed attitude toward the virus when it was well known in November 2019 that it was taking a stronghold.

Of course they would be different. This is Cummings getting his revenge. If he were still at the heart of government he'd be covering up like the rest of them...

But, he's really not disclosing much that wasn't known already, or had been surmised by close examination of relevant documents and interviews with others involved.

We've discussed herd immunity before. We surely know that it's rarely achieved by letting a disease rip through the population. Only through mass vaccination. Or complete suppression. We had no vaccination for covid and our government was never serious about suppression.

I'm not watching it, but I've been dipping into various live commentaries on twitter. It confirms so many things that people have been saying from the start...

“ Posters who were trashing Cummings just a few months ago are now thrilled with his comments. ”

I don’t agree with that comment sorry. I personally can’t bear Cummings or Johnson as I think they are both spectacularly economical with the truth.
I do think Johnson et al should be held accountable for their mishandling of Covid at the very least and if it takes the ghastly Cummings to do that then so be it. I am definitely not thrilled by it, I’d much rather we didn’t have an incompetent untruthful PM in the first place !

Riverwalk Wed 26-May-21 11:40:36

Cummings has a lot of fans on Gransnet - I wonder what they make of it all.

They believed every word of his cock & bull story when he drove to his father's house last year, and road-tested his eyesight before returning.

Smileless2012 Wed 26-May-21 11:42:24

No surprises really, the words of a man out for revenge for losing his job who TBH is hardly in a position to criticise the handling of the pandemic, when he deliberately broke the rules that were in place himself.

Polarbear2 Wed 26-May-21 11:46:28

I don’t ‘love’ him nor am I wowed. I am pleased that he’s opening the blinds on this corrupt lying PM. I’m very aware DC was a part of this but whatever. The truth will out. It’ll be interesting to see what the fallout is.
