We're soon going to sort our lives into pre and post covid.

I'm the one who would rather this pre-covid stuff than the ill-considered dramas based on too-close-to-now events. Both TV and radio want to "speak to now" in a stupid newsy simplistic way.

Sorry I can see this isn't terribly clear but there are already covid dramas, isolation themed ones, monologues about similar, plays about being apart.
Really to have any depth, this work should be given time to develop. We need a more complex understanding and some distance to allow them to grow into pieces of meaningful art.
It makes me so cross.

I suppose drama sets are a workplace like any other so the actors have to stay apart even if they are supposed to be married or be in need of comfort. It is all very strange. Soaps that have a big storyline involving a child now have to act out the story without the child actor.
We have to suspend our disbelief even more than at normal times.

I mainly agree with you NotSpaghetti, but there was a series with David Tennant and Michael Sheen on TV around June this year, which was set in the Lockdown but was excellent. I think it was called Staged?

It's been the only program I've seen that really reflected what was going on, and developed in a surprising way, not just the comedy I expected.
