Goodmorning hope you are all full of beans this morning.

Good luck everyone.

Carol Mon 06-Feb-12 08:31:20

Good morning glass. I have lost 1/2 lb this week and so relieved about that, as I thought I wouldn't have lost anything, having been out for a big Italian meal at weekend and ending with a Tia Maria Coffee with cream, which was super-delicious. Back to behaving myself now.

jeni Mon 06-Feb-12 08:37:35

I've put on two[sulk]

susiecb Mon 06-Feb-12 09:10:27

I shan't be going to SW tonight due to the weather so I will stay the same this week.

greenmossgiel Mon 06-Feb-12 09:10:51

I've lost three-quarters of a pound. Jeni - no sulking! Just tell yourself it's 'fluid'....it'll be off again by next week! smile

glassortwo Mon 06-Feb-12 10:02:18

Well done carol 1/2lb..... could it be anything to do with all that running around at the virtual march/tea party grin

Ahh jeni dont sulk sad. Are you following any plan or just trying to cut down? Let us know what you are doing and we will all get our heads together and get you sorted out.

Susie keep strong, its so easy to just let a little cheat sneak in when you dont go for weigh in smile
green fantastic 3/4 lb. smile

Now can someone kick my bottom off this seat, I hate Mondays the house is like a tip when they have all been in all weekend and me sat here is not getting it sorted, and I really am not in the mood. Note to self... housework burns calories. grin

Carol Mon 06-Feb-12 10:18:28

Seat-kicking as requested glass! I 'earn' my sit-down and a read of Gransnet by doing one or two small jobs at a time, then it's kettle on and a cup of tea before I get up to do something else. I loathe housework, and don't have a dishwasher since I re-vamped my kitchen, so I'll do one bowl of washing up, then let them drain before I do another bowl. Before I know it an hour has passed and the kitchen is tidy again.

Just going to load the washer and wipe round bathroom sink and bath, then I'll be coming back!

I hope you ladies don't mind me joining in,I have put on 1 1/2 stone since early December -end December mainly due to a course of tablets I was on and too much to eat at christmas.I have not managed to lose any weight in Jan . I am 5'10" and weigh 15 st 5.2lb and would idealy like to lose 2 1/2 stone I think it may help having to record my weight every week
PS I am off the tablets now

Zephrine Mon 06-Feb-12 11:15:58

Knock, knock, may I come in? Back from holiday now, weighed myself this morning, haven't put on any during holiday (hooray) probably because I had put on pounds before I went away!! So it begins.......

Notsogrand Mon 06-Feb-12 11:52:36

Morning everyone! Nice to meet you ronald, plenty of support here!
Not sure why I'm sounding so chirpy, because having lost 3lbs last week I've put 2lbs back on again this week. shock
I've been eating things this past week that I know I shouldn't eat, so serves me right!
Somehow, I need to find my 'focus' again. Will go and look for it now. hmm

susiecb Mon 06-Feb-12 12:33:50

Thanks glass I don't have anything naughty in the house and don't want to go out so probably wont be tempted. I really want my stone and a half award next week so will keep at it and I have set some interim targets e.g. Easter. Its my birthday on Sunday so have planned to go out for Sunday lunch but that shouldn't be any different really. Have a large vegetable soup and a vegetable curry on the stove as week speak.

glassortwo Mon 06-Feb-12 12:33:59

Thanks carol surprising what you can get done in 1 hr wink

Nice to meet you Ronald it helps to have some support when you are trying to loose weight.

Zeph have you had a good holiday? Its nice to come back after being away and not to have gained anything well done.

Notso it can be very difficult to get back the momentum when you have slipped back to your old habits. Just re-think your ultimate goal and when you go to choose something naughty ask yourself do you really need it. But dont knock yourself as you have already achieved such a lot, but dont let it slip back. wink

raggymac Mon 06-Feb-12 13:18:12

Good afternoon everyone- It's chirpy time here as I've lost 2lbs! Going to bed without a kitchen picking session seems to make a lot of difference. But I still feel most tempted at this time of day. Will power is required....

Sbagran Mon 06-Feb-12 14:39:28

Jeni - we should have a sulk emoticon as I need one too! Put on nearly a pound in spite of lots of walking, gym and swim! My only hope is that the battery has been showing low in the scales and so maybe they are not accurate and I am not really still 12stone and a bit, but really the 10 and a half I want to be grin
DH bought a new battery this morning so will have a look in the morning (usual weigh time but wrong day!) and pray! IF a miracle happens and I am sylph-like you will hear from me again glass! If not I will report in again next week when I had BETTER have lost something more than my marbles!
Welcome Ronald - this is a great weekly thread for support, Glassortwo is always an undying support as are the other potential losers so stick with us and good luck!

Zephrine Mon 06-Feb-12 15:42:16

Brilliant holiday thanks Glass best thing is I just don't want to eat when it is lovely and warm and sunny! Think I live in the wrong place hmm

greenmossgiel Mon 06-Feb-12 16:01:26

Hello Ronald - you'll be fine with us! I've just had a look at your allotment! All that digging over and eating those lovely vegetables will help you get the extra pounds off! Good luck! smile

jeni Mon 06-Feb-12 17:00:05

I've joined ww online going to count pro points. Anything to do with puttanesca sauce I wonder?

glassortwo Mon 06-Feb-12 19:25:55

Raggy well done wink I dont think we register how many times we just nibble something, helps to write down and it can give you a fright when you read it back.
sba do you think its your scales or do you feel as though you have put weight on? Check you serving size.
zeph pleased you had a good time, could not have chosen a better time to get away to the sunshine.
jeni you will get great results with WW.

yogagran Tue 07-Feb-12 13:34:43

That's a really good idea glass to write down what we eat, I should do that as I'm a "nibbler"
I have stayed the same as last week which, for me, is good as I'm at my target weight but as I said - I nibble, especially in the evening when DH has gone to bed, he's an early to bed and I'm an owl.

lucid Tue 07-Feb-12 13:50:30

I've lost 1lb but as I put it on last week I'm now back where I started!blush Hopefully I'm now going the right way .......

jeni Tue 07-Feb-12 13:51:39

I am not impressed by ww. Ikept religiously to the pro points and put on another 8oz [big sulk]emoticon

glammanana Tue 07-Feb-12 14:23:19

jeni I must confess I have never had any luck with WW,best results where with BHF heathy eating plate, having lost over 30lbs in 14mths.

jeni Tue 07-Feb-12 14:35:20

glammanana Tue 07-Feb-12 14:48:32

raggymac Tue 07-Feb-12 15:53:25
