Goodmorning all. I am now without my laptop as puppy decided to take all the keys off to play scrabble while I was out on Friday. Dd had Been using it and hadn't put it away so Until She gets back from holiday and it has Been replaced I will try to get on here when I can.
Hope you have had a good week.

That is really bad luck, Glass - I hope you are soon back with us!

Sorry to hear that Glass.
This week I have managed to do a bit better on the weight front despite going out to several functions and having a birthday - managed to lose three pounds plus!!! Both surprised and delighted when I stepped on the dreaded machine this morning.
Good luck to everyone else - hope you all have a good experience too!

Oh dear Glass - wouldn't like to be your DD when she gets home from her holiday!
Managed 200g this week but at least it's in the right direction and despite being at DD's most of last week and not as active as I usually am.

Stayed the same, but still going to the gym. Will look at the amount of fat in my diet this week. Have cut out the smoothies but have taken to eating a small piece of cheese again sometimes, as it stops my teeth being sensitive.

Tegan If it's only a small amount of cheese I wouldn't worry - as well as providing calcium systemically it will protect your teeth against acid erosion.
I find the problem with cheese is that a small amount quickly turns into quite a lot sad.
So if I'm having cheese and a salad for lunch I now put the cheese on my plate, put the cheeseboard firmly back in the fridge and resist further temptation!
The trouble is there are so many fabulous cheeses available now [mouthwatering emoticon]

I lost 2lbs at my WW weigh in on Thursday evening so quite pleased. We have friends staying at the moment so I doubt I'll do as well this week. I have cooked mainly WW meals though but over indulged on the ice cream and wine!! wink

I didn't realise cheese was good for sensitive teeth Tegan, thanks for the tip!

So well informed of the benefits of cheese now jane smile I just thought it helped to clean teeth, I had better start eating a small piece regularly.

For some reason when it's hot I don't feel like drinking water so I end up drinking a large glass of squash, and my teeth are then sensitive for ages. I am sticking to just a small piece of cheese [not the huge chunks I used to eat]. When the children were young I always gave them a bowl of fruit for supper just before they cleaned their teeth, so it's a wonder they have any tooth enamel.

Babs cheese raises the pH of your saliva, neutralising the acidic effects of any foods. It also contains a protein that helps to remineralise the enamel.
If you don't want to eat cheese but are worried about acid erosion of your teeth, or sensitivity, I used to recommend this product

Not advertising and no connection with the company smile

Just a small loss of 1/4 lb this week but it's in the right direction. Had a boost at the weekend though. Got into a pair of jeans that haven't fitted for months and a jumper that I hadn't worn as it clung to every wobbly bit was actually loose.

Thanks for the info Jane I see the hygienist every 4 months as I do have problems, I have never worried about diet and the effect on my teeth thoughhmm

Down again from 58.6 to 58.5kg . A laughable amount , I do realise , but I am only heading for 58kg where I was ( briefly! ) about 4 months ago , so am pleased whenever it goes in the right direction. Must have had something to do with the marathon gardening session on Saturday as I have been out for meals quite often this week - though obviously trying to be sensible on the whole. ( Interesting teeth discussion , though like janeainsworth I have trouble with the concept " a small amount of cheese" ! )
