What are you doing to get rid of covid inches and weight?

BigBertha1 Sun 13-Jun-21 10:55:08

Not baking!

Shirleyw Mon 14-Jun-21 15:26:35

count calories and exercise, the usual .

M0nica Mon 14-Jun-21 15:43:09

There hasn't been any. I saw no reason to change my usual eating pattern. As a retired person I had been 'working from home' for some years.

I'm still at the comfort eating stage.
It's the shock.

Infinity2 Wed 21-Jul-21 23:14:35

Me too MissAdventure - I’m at the stage where I just feel like giving up completely trying to lose weight. I feel guilty already for probably giving the undertaker a treble hernia when they carry me out.

MissAdventure Wed 21-Jul-21 23:22:19

grin
It's too hot and loathsome to think about now.
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
Also sticking to the sofa in this heat.

Low carb and 16-8

Infinity2 Thu 22-Jul-21 14:42:54

I can’t even get started. I’ve got the willpower of a gnat. And I’m so tired and hot.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 22-Jul-21 15:34:23

I too don’t have any inclination or energy for losing weight. That is until I catch sight of my reflection anywhere. Oh my goodness I look just like my mother who battled with weight issues for many years. I vowed not to be like her and watched what I ate and exercised. It all went fine until a few years ago and health issues. Then came Covid, lost my mum to dementia and after all that’s going on right now I just can’t be bothered.
Sorry to moan.

My husband has been prescribed a free twelve weeks Slimming World course by the GP. Starts next week.

MissAdventure Thu 22-Jul-21 16:05:30

Grandmadinosaur
Similar for me.
Sometimes things are too hard to contemplate.
Another day. flowers

Atqui Thu 22-Jul-21 16:07:16

V3ra-is that by zoom or a real meeting?

MiniMoon Thu 22-Jul-21 16:21:11

I may well lose weight by default. I suffered a bout of really awful upper abdominal pain recently, and my GP thinks it may well be gallstones. I have put myself on a low fat diet. We shall see!

Grandmadinosaur Thu 22-Jul-21 16:49:55

MissAdventure horrible times eh? We just have to be kind to ourselves ?

Skydancer Thu 22-Jul-21 16:54:35

I seem do fairly well all day. But when the evening comes I start picking and it seems to carry on all evening. I took a skirt to the charity shop yesterday because it had clearly "shrunk".

V3ra Thu 22-Jul-21 19:25:13

Atqui

V3ra-is that by zoom or a real meeting?

Atqui it's at the local high school, I think in the leisure centre. There was a list of venues to choose from, various days and times. This is five minutes walk from home.

The NHS in East Staffordshire will fund the twelve weeks at Slimming World for patients who are over 18 years old with a BMI greater than 30 (28 if you have certain other health problems).

Chewbacca Thu 22-Jul-21 19:29:37

I'm on a balanced diet. I eat 2 of everything.
