Excited! My Futurelearn Italian course begins tomorrow. Has anyone here done any Futurelearn courses? If you have, do you have any tips for me?

I think a few have done one on the EU, including whitewave.

I'm just about to start one on Dementia: Understanding and Managing Challenging Behaviour .... I'll let you know how it goes ....smile

I am signed up for Italian too.
I have done a couple but gave up on the Family History one because I found it boring.
Just go at your own pace anno . No need to keep up is the main draw for me. I just dip in when I have spare time.

I'm signed up for the Italian one too. I did the Life and Times of Richard III last year.

That's funny, I'm signed up for the Italian one too. I thought it might be useful as we are off to Pompeii later in the year. I've completed a couple of courses before, Childhood in the Digital Age and Teaching Computing. I'm always busy the start of the week, so I'll start getting stuck in on Thursday. I find it best to dedicate the first hour or so of the day to the course while I'm freshest. Like Pittcity says just go at your own pace. The material stays online for you if you start falling behind, so you don't need to complete it in the 6 weeks.

I did Literature and Mental Health and it was quite interesting. I am saving myself to do another in the autumn when the great outdoors does not lure me away from the computer!

I'd never heard of this (just looked it up). Sounds very interesting, I must have a browse. I could do with stimulating the 'little grey cells'n

I have to say also that I'd never heard of U3A before joining GN either, that also sounds interesting. Now I just need to actually do something about it rather than just thinking about it!

I have completed a few of these courses.

I can recommend 'Mindfulness for Well-Being and Peak Performance' it starts again on Monday 23rd - I am going to repeat it.
