I am in shock, I have just heard my Granddaughter, who is nineteen, hsd been druged and raped,at a student party. She is a quiet girl and doesnt drink, when the ambulance arrived, they refused to take her to Hospital as they said she was just drunk, how on earth can ambulance personel suggest that and leave this poor unconscious girl to be collected by her parents.
This is just too much to comprehend,I need to tell you all. This didnt happen in the UK, I am sure when and IF they find the person who did this appauling thing, they will not even be punished.
This is written by a very sad and angry Grandmother

I would think that describing yourself as a "very sad and angry Grandmother" is a massive understatement.

I don't know what to say apart from how very sorry I am, and that seems so inadequate.

Nanny41 ...How terrible for her!

A small consolation but, thank goodness her parents were on hand to collect her.

There are some despicable people about. angry

In the absence of anything approaching helpful, I offer you my heartfelt sympathy. flowers

You are right to be angry - poor girl.

Oh that poor girl. Poor you too. You must be filled with such frustration and rage!
I hope your DGD recovers well enough and is reassured by you all in time. Really awful.

How horrific, poor, poor girl. How dare the ambulance personnel judge her.She was unconscious and vulnerable.Thank goodness her parents were able to collect her.Sending love and strength to you all and hope in time with her supportive family that your granddaughter recovers.

Of course you’re angry. Your poor granddaughter and how difficult not to be able to see her.

How horrible! I am so deeply sorry! I hope she and her parents pursue the case and the culprit is brought to justice. Also, I hope your GD gets some counseling, as this terrible experience is likely to have affected her sense of safety and self-confidence, etc.

I know how shocking this is because it happened to a young relative of mine and the whole family were, as are you, distraught. I won’t go into details except to say that my relative has found a way of putting it behind her and has gone on to have a brilliant career and social life.
