Does anyone still preserve by salting? I have masses of runner beans to preserve. For the past few years I have frozen the surplus but even though I follow freezing instructions to the letter, after a couple of months the beans just taste of freezer and end up on the compost heap.
I'd love to hear if anyone still preserves by salting, and their views on the results. Thanks.
