A friend gave me a bag of rice called "arros redondo".
It looked like what I call pudding rice, but she said it was risotto rice.
Does anyone know the difference, and any advice how to use it?

Make a small pudding or a small risotto and see how it turns out. Arros redondo can also be used for paella. Have fun smile

PS if it is paella rice it should be Arroz. Small detail.

It's not an Italian rice so I would imagine paella is the way to go!

There is "arroz" on the packet too, and "arroza" so who knows where she got it from!
Anyway I made a sort of risotto with the rice, some veg. stock, onions peas and sweet corn and it was OK.
I was just wondering what's the difference between this and old fashioned pudding rice.
