What are your 3 ‘go to’ family suppers?

I made dinner last night and got to thinking of my usual favourite suppers that I make on a fairly regular basis. Nothing fancy (as for a special occasion) just ordinary dinners.

Mine are:

1. Chilli & rice
2. Hungarian goulash a la Delia
3. a pork, apple, sage & onion dish topped with cheesy mash and served with green cabbage.

What are yours?

Lasagna usually made with meat but sometimes I do a veggie one.
Fish Pie, with cod, smoked haddock and salmon covered in a cheese sauce with chives added. I do sliced potatoes on top like Dauphinoise, instead of mash.
Sunday roast whatever that may be beef, chicken or lamb with roasted root vegetables, potatoes, parsnips, carrots and onions plus broccoli and Yorkshire puds.

Bathsheba Wed 23-Jan-19 17:21:45

kittylester I too do a 'sausage and potato thing', haha! I roast sausages (chopped into three pieces) with small potatoes, red onions and chopped bacon, then cover with grated cheese for the last 10 minutes. I quite often do hard boiled eggs to add, sliced, at the end. Think I'll try it with tomatoes next time too!

Lazigirl Wed 23-Jan-19 17:23:50

Where are all the veggies lurking? So far there are only about half a dozen veggie dishes mentioned.
