and I enjoyed it very much! First time for me making it, and I did get some help on this site, so thank you.

Made a loaf-size, and had no marzipan or icing. I'm the only one who had any since my family are not fans.

Still working on chocolates...

I have frozen what is left of ours.

I have dreams of turkey sandwiches and Christmas cake with a flask of coffee on a spring and summer picnic when all is well and the sun is shining?

I’ve still got half of mine left I’m glad I went ahead and made it, have a small slice with a cuppa now and then.

We finished ours yesterday lunch, with a bit of Stilton cheese.

I make a Dundee cake, and blowing my own trumpet, it was the best one I’ve made for ages. I managed to not over bake this one, it was not dry or too sweet.

I’m sorry it’s finished.

We’ve still got some chocolate - and a whole home made Christmas pudding. I can’t imagine what I was thinking of, to make two big ones when I knew it was probably just going to be me and dh on the day.
Plus I made another big one with veggie ‘suet’ for a dd!

Still, dh will happily eat Christmas pud as long as there’s any left - and I will often join him, so it won’t be wasted.
The brandy butter is all gone, though. ?

White wave, your post lockdown picnic sounds great.
I made a large Mary Berry recipe, first time I’d used it but, I’ll use again. Really good cake. It’s family sized and of course we are visitor free, so are bravely enjoying a slice with a cup of tea, about 4pm

Our Christmas is down to the last bit, probably two slices.
I made DH a lemon drizzle cake yesterday, his favourite, so I may very well have to finish up eating the Christmas cake.
No bother.??

We've just finished our large Christmas cake. Luckily I've discovered some mince pies in the freezer... wink
