Fajitas, which I do like but fancy fish fingers, chips, and beans now.

Pork steak in honey and mustard, sautéed potatoes, courgettinni and green beans.

A hefty minestrone last night, with the remains of 2 different bags of pasta, a courgette I needed to use up, sundry other veg, and some garlic bread out of the freezer.
Enough left for one lunch today. ?

Lunch tongue, herby new potatoes and beetroot for me. Was an absolutely delicious combo.

Already prepped dinner, just need to stick it in the oven tonight. Bit boring today as it is a Shepherds Pie with minced lamb and crushed new potatoes on the top. I made some ice creams for a friends birthday yesterday so have some in the freezer - rum and raisin, vanilla and an espresso coffee one too. Nice bottle of Chablis chilling.

Chicken kiev/mushrooms/broccoli and rice.

Witzend Mon 03-May-21 09:30:28

Lemon sole fillets out of the freezer, lightly floured and fried, jacket potatoes, salad. Nice and easy.
Plus an Eve’s Pudding if I can be bothered later, since fruit and veg box sent green eating apples which I’m not keen on.

EllanVannin

I'm going to sample one of M&S's concoctions today, a cod fish cake mixed with potato and mushy peas, so I'll be doing chips with it. 2 in a pack but they're quite thick and heavy so one at a time. I got them last week to freeze, among other stuff.

They are very nice Ellan in fact today we are having the smoked haddock ones with salad. They are large ( deep) so one is usually enough. Ocado now are partnered with M&S so we are trying a lot of M&S foodstuffs.

Just thinking about it now and looking at everyone’s posts today for a bit of inspiration. No leftovers from our small pork joint for 2 yesterday.

Duck leg in sauce, kale, mushrooms and a selection of vegetables. I am not a fan of potatoes.

I tidied the fridge this morning and found two items with today's date on. A curry flavoured pasty and a ready-meal lasagne. So it's a toss up which gets eaten today. And then I will eat the other tomorrow. Not overwhelmingly exciting, is it. smile

I’ve just bunged some chicken and veg into the slow cooker with a tin of chicken soup, garlic and Rosemary. Will turn it into a pie later with some frozen puff pastry. (I never make puff but do make shortcrust). I have recently discovered a large jar of prepared garlic cloves in Lidl! Brilliant idea and I think less than a pound. I hate preparing garlic.

My OH is cooking a mushroom risotto.

Jaxjacky Mon 03-May-21 17:53:53

Lazy here, M&S dine in, duck a l’orange, truffled cauli cheese with leftover roasties from yesterday and broccoli. Mr J has the profiteroles for pud, I’m not fussed.

EkwaNimitee Mon 03-May-21 17:58:34

Aztra Mon 03-May-21 17:59:16

There is a website ( unfortunately I don't know what it's called,) where you type in what ingredients you have and it comes up with a recipe.

BBQ chicken drumsticks ( a yellow sticker bargain from Morrison’s) with stir fry veg. We had a late lunch so not very hungry here!

Witzend Sun 09-May-21 11:27:55

Steaks - a rare thing here - home made wedges, grilled tomatoes, broccoli.

Beswitched Tue 11-May-21 15:24:55

Cottage pie, when I can be bothered to get up off my arse and make it grin
