Just got a delivery from a wholefoods online set up of Black Beans (China), Black Beluga lentils (USA), dried dates (Tunisia), and ground coriander (Bulgaria). Our local shops don't have these things.

Do you know, I think I'm going to start a list of the places the food we buy comes from, just out of interest. Anyone else want to join in?

Most surprising find of the day: my favourite English Breakfast style tea is "produced" in Canada! I did a spot of unconvinced guugling, thinking that they probably imported it from one of the usual tea-growing countries then sorted their imports into varieties and packaged it for sale.

But it seems there exists a tea growing farm on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Mind blown ? ?

Baggs, my mind blown as well! I had to look it up, but found a tea growing farm on Vancouver Island. Good for them for trying something different.

I can add Trinidad and Tobago, I have pigeon peas and pepper sauce from there. Nutmeg from Grenada. Must have a root around to find more.
