the ball she had just teed off had landed square on the green just out of her site.

She wasn't expecting to see anyone step out of the shadows and so the man that suddenly appeared....

startled her.

Perhaps this darkened shadow was an admirer or could he be up to some mischief?

Her blue eyes widened in surprise, as he came forward and said, in a husky voice...

"Are those my balls you're holding?" She looked at the little dimpled white balls in her hand and said......

I wish they were...

I'm a bit of a game bird

And in the same husky tone he replied" Nice to hear because I too like a nice plump piece of chicken!"

"How about we go for a Kentucky Fried Chicken, then"? She suggested, winking...

"Mmm, I like my chickens well seasoned!", he replied with a smirk.

And nice little thigh to nibble on

"Really?", she said, "You look more like a breast man to me, but never mind, we could go to..."

"My place if you would care to make do and mend a little,as I left my home in a hurry" she said

"I'm very good with my hands" he said "and can easily knock up whatever you fancy".

With an expansive gesture he grabbed her rescue wood and bashed her ball into the woods.

It would seem he was pondering over the lady`s suggestion............surely he could not be lost for words?

He made off into the woods and she followed expectantly hoping to find her ball.

But she tripped over a bramble and found herself rolling into a ditch.

As she frantically tried to free herself from the bramble and scramble out of the ditch she suddenly spotted ...

A policeman walking towards her

Wearing his most pensive face,pulling himself up to his tallest,he takes out his notebook......

"what's going on here young lady are you OK"
