Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

BigBertha1 Tue 05-Apr-22 08:33:08

No I don't really other than older ones like South Pacific.

Will you be having an Easter egg and will you eat it all?

GrannyGravy13 Tue 05-Apr-22 08:33:36

My favourites are Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, but I a,so like Phantom of the Opera. Going to the theatre is a great joy.

What is your favourite piece of clothing that you cannot part with?

(Mine is a dressing gown, a gift from my late Mum)

GrannyGravy13 Tue 05-Apr-22 08:34:22

Sorry Big Bertha I was typing slowly.

No Easter eggs for me.

BBbevan Tue 05-Apr-22 09:22:35

A duffle coat I had at art school

I feel very discombobulated today. No idea why. Do you have days like this?

henetha Tue 05-Apr-22 10:05:48

Yes. I have days when I think someone removed my brain and put it back in upside down. I hope you feel less discombobulated tomorrow. And less discomknockerated.

Did you like Ken Dodd? Of any of the other old comedians?

Mollygo Tue 05-Apr-22 12:37:26

Yes. I didn’t mind Ken Dodd, loved Dave Allen and The Two Ronnies and Morecambe &Wise.
Les Dawson playing the piano never failed to make me laugh.

What’s the highest floor you’ve stayed in in an hotel?

FannyCornforth Wed 06-Apr-22 05:04:58

I saw Ken Dodd live when I was a child with my family.
It was probably the Birmingham Hippodrome; I remember that we didn’t leave the theatre until gone 1am, which I believe was typical for Dodd.

I haven’t stayed in a hotel with lots of floors!
I used to live in an eighth floor flat. It had amazing views of the city.
It was lovely looking out at night,
I often think about it.

What is you opinion / belief about ghosts? ?

BBbevan Wed 06-Apr-22 06:31:41

My dad always said he saw the ghost of his father’s first wife when he was a young boy.And I must admit that even as a child and unaware of what he had seen, that room was difficult to walk through. We used to run. So I really don’t know.

I have just had a dreadful night not sleeping. My DD swears by apps such as Calm. Have you resorted to anything similar.?

henetha Wed 06-Apr-22 10:56:55

I used to sleep badly and tried things like Bach Rescue Remedy. I never tried an app. Don't think they existed then.
I now sleep well thanks to Amitriptyline.

Do you feel the cold easily? Or the opposite?

ginny Wed 06-Apr-22 11:30:13

I feel the cold which is why I don’t like winter.

I have just it a wash load in the machine.
Do you separate lights and darks ?

crazyH Wed 06-Apr-22 13:23:31

No, most of my clothes are synthetic, so there’s not much of runny colours. However, my summer cottons are washed separately.

Some of us here have OA, I guess. Do you find that eating citrus fruits make your knee-pain worse? I had a couple of kiwi fruits yesterday and my knees are bad today

henetha Fri 08-Apr-22 12:13:09

Well I think there is something about eating too much acidity, like fruits or tomatoes, which is true and can aggravate our arthritic joints.

If you could live another life, what would you like to be?
I'd like to be very clever and spend my life in academia.

Mollygo Fri 08-Apr-22 14:13:25

I’d like to be better at the things I’m good at and be able to sing alto parts, really well.

Have you ever flown in a helicopter?

crazyH Fri 08-Apr-22 14:59:09

Yes. For my 60th Birthday, a gift from the girls at the Surgery.

I’m afraid I think I spoil my grandchildren. Every time I visit I’ve got some little thing for them…..nothing expensive, but I hate to go empty handed (btw they live locally). Do you think you spoil your GC?

crazyH Fri 08-Apr-22 15:00:35

And it was scary. If I’m honest, I couldn’t wait to get back on land !

BBbevan Fri 08-Apr-22 16:46:38

Yes massively I’m afraid. Also my DD and DS. Lovely to be able to.

Do you watch Bake off Su4C? I hardly ever know who the contestants are. Do you have this problem?

Mollygo Sat 09-Apr-22 07:51:29

I rarely have any idea about who the ‘celebrities’ are or why they are ‘celebrities’ but if I like the program I watch it.
I suppose it’s because we don’t really watch enough television or soaps. I do like it when I actually recognise somebody though.

Would you like to live in a house by a river or a canal, or even on the seafront?
Do you have a preference, and why?

BBbevan Sat 09-Apr-22 08:59:54

We are just 3 minutes from the sea. We can’t see it but we can hear it.

When you were young , what sort of holidays did you have?

Fernbergien Sat 09-Apr-22 13:17:24

Not many but one at Boscombe comes to mind

Which is you favourite county?

MerylStreep Sat 09-Apr-22 13:29:18

Mollygo
I lived on the sea for 20 years. This was our second boat.

AGAA4 Sat 09-Apr-22 14:39:34

Yorkshire. My son lives there but I love York and the dales.

Is there someone in your life who always makes you laugh?

BBbevan Sun 10-Apr-22 17:39:44

Yes, my eldest GD. She has a very special way of looking at the world.

Lovely question AGAA4, so again please

FannyCornforth Sun 10-Apr-22 18:39:49

Me. I’m what keeps me going. And my husband and my father.
I’m not complaining btw

Turning it in its head; is there anyone in your life that really gets on your goat?
I’d probably answer again that it’s me

crazyH Sun 10-Apr-22 23:51:39

This may sound strange, but it’s a dear friend - she only talks about money and the cost of things - you can buy cheaper here or cheaper there. Honestly , I ‘m not going to spend £2 petrol to save 20p on a bag of sugar ?

I have a feeling this has been asked before - where are you penny pinching ?
