Stupidly have allowed a plant to become too big in it's pot. I really love it so it needs planting out. I'm useless at digging bulb holes. Thought I'd ask as you never know!

When planting bulbs I've managed to damage two bulb holders. I have no strength to dig soil in the garden, so I do not know why I get carried away at garden centres.

The plant is taller than me so nearing 6-7 feet. The pot it was in is about 50cm wide

How about borrowing a couple of teenager sons of friends?

You might find that the roots have gone through the bottom of the pot and are deep into your garden, so no need to repot,

I have one, firmly rooted into the lawn now, so I’ve left it alone
