It’s self sown in one of my big pots. Looks vaguely cabbage-y, or brassica-ish. Slugs have evidently been finding it tasty! I’ve left it because I wanted to see what it’d turn into.
Thanks all - I had a feeling it was going to be something edible. But where on earth the seed could have come from I don’t know - we’re not exactly in a veg growing area, the gardens are very small. I shall leave it a bit longer and see whether it produces a nice fat root.
Davidh you got there before me; we live next to farmers fields and have had the odd rapeseed make an appearance. They come up in most unexpected places, and look like that.
Well, it makes a change from the seeds they usually deposit - holly for one - I always feel mean digging up baby holly trees but needs must when a tiddly garden is already crammed.
