The whole process of going into Neil & Hardy's in Stockport, listening to the record in the booth and passing over my saved up pocket money ( I was 12) felt like an initiation ceremony.....

MiceElf Fri 26-Oct-12 08:25:26

What do you want if you want money? Adam Faith!

Grannylin Fri 26-Oct-12 08:30:18

Lets Dance by Chris Montez and Not Fade Away by Rollng Stones first LP which I still have was With the Beatles played in my room after finding it in mum's wardrobe hidden amongst Christmas presents,it was quickly put back into the sleeve when I heard mum coming in from work at 5pm.
I've still got a lot of Del Shannon and early mowtown records which I used to buy in the record shop in Liverpool as soon as I got paid on a Friday before we went to Cavern for the T-time group before we got the Ferry back over the River,if my dad knew where we had been I would have been in trouble grin
