The influence of Peppa Pig!

GranG You are, indeed, honoured. I approve of Peppa Pig and find it quite amusing, as long as I don't have to watch the same DVD every morning, although if that were the price I had to pay for my little granddaughter to be able to visit me from New Zealand, I would. I like the way it presents family life – not always smooth but with solutions to problems, providing there's a bit of give and take. On the other hand, I want to slap Dora the Explorer.

We took two GSs to see Peppa and George Pig at Blenheim. Of course they were adults dressed up in pig costumes, wandering round a ring and greeting children, many of whom were scared and quite tearful because the characters were so much bigger than they expected. Peppa Pig and Mummy Pig are great female role models. Poor old Daddy always seems to be the incompetent one!

My 3 year old grandddaughter's favourite animals are pigs. I think she is influenced by Peppa Pig. I have never watched it so perhaps I should.

GranG it is indeed a great compliment as Peppa's grandparents are lovely.

My GD enjoys Peppa Pig and also Olivia, so pigs are big in my house! My favourite is Chugginton. They sometimes ignore advice from those wiser and more experienced, but then they help each other logically work through the problem and at the end they're big enough to admit their shortcomings... good lessons for 2 year old GD and 54 year old Poppa.

The one I want to smack down is Angelina bloody Ballerina. Selfish pretentious bloody murid princess!

Definately honoured. My gds favourite programme is Peppa Pig. Amusing and educational particularly along the lines of emotional intelligence. Her favourite episode is best friends.

Absent next time I sit down to watch (b-----) peppa pig again (we do have to have a daily fix) I will think of you and be grateful that I can. Hope its not to long before you see your gc.

The "hysterical expert parents" of my granddaughter ( the sort that have a book or an opinion that has been researched on everything) are trying to "gently" introduce GD (4 yrs old) the idea that food comes from animals...
Perhaps you see where this is going...
They have explained that chicken is a dead bird and "it went OK" and that fish cakes and fingers are, well, made from slimy slippery things that swim in the sea and that was "easy"...

BUT oh the agonising about the fact that pork is from erm... a dead pig!

I have instituted a policy of only serving pork when they are at our house, last Saturday I said to GD "do you like the pork? It's not too PEPPERY for you"

These small things make the day worthwhile...

My grandaughter (age 2yrs) loves Peppa Pig. She walks around the house making snorting noises if you mention Peppa!

2.5 year old gd does not seem to mind that animals are eaten for food but perhaps she does not fully inderstand yet. She is delighted to cluck when I serve chicken, grunt when I serve pig, quack for duck etc etc. It is the adults that seem to lose their appeties.

My 3 year old grandson refused to have a plaster on a cut because it was not a Pepper Pig plaster. I now have PP plasters ready in my medicine cabinet.

But, do any of you watch Rastamouse? We thought it was so clever and so funny when we saw it at my daughter's house. When is it on?
