My grandson who is 3 and a half is coming to stay overnight. I am looking forward to reading with him before bed but as it's a long time since I did this with a child of this age wondered if there is a right way or wrong way of doing it. I know it sounds silly but do I encourage him to pick out letters or look at the pictures and comment or do I read the story in one go so it makes sense rather than stopping and starting. Oh and what shall I read to him? I'd like to have a book here waiting as a treat.
