Here I am, up at the crack of dawn to take my DD in for an elective c-section. She has to report at 7.15 (along with at least two other ladies that she met at the pre-op on Thursday). So we don't know what time she'll be meeting her little one, but hopefully sooner today rather than later.
I will keep you posted. SO EXCITED!!! grin

You must be on tenterhooks!
Good luck to her and looking forward to the good news flowers

Thank you Soutra. I'm just about to leave now. Back later with an update (and a picture, if I'm not shaking too much to hold the camera smile)

I remember waiting to hear from my daughter she had an elective section too but we knew it was going to be 2pm then it was delayed slightly and I didn't hear until 4pm. Don't know how I got through the wait! But it was worth it. Good luck and best wishes to all

How wonderful AshTree. I was awaiting the arrival of my DS 41 years ago tomorrow. Where have the years gone ? What happy times you have ahead of you. smile

AshTree Mon 22-Jun-15 07:55:11

Well we've been told she's third on the list, so likely to be going into theatre late morning. Hopefully this won't be delayed!

Nelliemoser Mon 22-Jun-15 08:20:14

Hope all goes well Ash Tree let us know.

Looking forward to the good news! flowers

When I read the title of this thread I thought it was leading on from the one which mentioned couples who had sex only once a year!!!

grannyactivist Mon 22-Jun-15 09:28:49

AshTree - how exciting for you. smile
Will you also get to meet the little one today?

AshTree Mon 22-Jun-15 09:38:08

Oh yes ga - I'm actually going into theatre with her as her 'birthing partner' !

Soutra Mon 22-Jun-15 09:42:38

Brave lady (both of you) I opted for general anaesthetics all 4 times [wimp]

grannyactivist Mon 22-Jun-15 09:44:44

Ash Tree - you lucky lady. I was present for the births of two of my grandchildren and I count them among the best days of my life. smile

whenim64 Mon 22-Jun-15 09:52:12

Good wishes for the exciting time you're going to have, Ashtree. What a privilege to be there to welcome your newly born grandchild into the world. I hope all goes well. smile

AshTree Mon 22-Jun-15 10:00:14

She's having a spinal block and she's been told they can lower the screen if she wants to be first to see her baby! I must say that yes, I do feel incredibly privileged to be present at the birth. I shall be taking the photos so hope I'm not shaking too much grin

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 22-Jun-15 10:06:37

Looking forward to the good news! smile

hildajenniJ Mon 22-Jun-15 10:21:17

How marvellous. I didn't get to welcome any of my grandchildren to the world. One was born in hospital, the rest were home births. All born while I was working.

Nonnie Mon 22-Jun-15 10:56:46

Excited for you.

KatyK Mon 22-Jun-15 12:05:38
