Mornng Mick, morning All

Very overcast here in Norfolk, But dry at the moment. Another day sorting photos and clearing out. At least I'll feel I've achieved something!

Out this evening to a friend's retirement dinner. We've not been out in the evening for ages. Is it a sign we're getting old that we tend to do more lunches rather than evening meals?

Nelliemoser Wed 08-Feb-17 07:10:12

Good morning all. Still dark and damp looking out. I have an early bird 7:30am GP appointment. I woke after 5pm I got up at 6ish and as I would not have got back to sleep in the time allowed. I also have the local tree man coming after 8:30.

Morning all!

It's still dark in North Leicestershire but sounds fairly quiet. School run today in Derby where the forecast isn't great - as usual.

We tend not to go out at night either nfk but, unfortunately, the concerts we enjoy don't do matinees!

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Still pretty dark in South Yorkshire but dry. Today it is Operation Birthday Cake so the kitchen will be a buttercream covered battleground. DH has vowed to stay well out of the way. I agree with you, Nfk. We rarely go out to eat in the evening either these days, and have friends round to lunch instead of dinner. I hope you have a lovely time! Have a good day, folks, whatever you are doing.

Good morning to all, from France. I slept for 8 hours last night and cannot remember when that last happened. A day of cooking ahead. Not my favourite occupation!

MawBroon Wed 08-Feb-17 07:46:25

Good morning Mick and all you early risers. It is so hard to say what the weather is going to be as it is just GREY outside, but I am off to London for a (belated birthday present) pampering massage and facial at Liz Earle just off Sloane Square and then off to see DD and the gorgeous Flynn. DH has not been well enough much of last year for me to have an "away day" so fingers crossed nothing goes wrong!!

cornergran Wed 08-Feb-17 07:48:55

Morning All from a clear and bright corner of Somerset. General 'stuff' to do today, nothing exciting. Good luck with the cake greyduster. We also rarely go out in the evening unless to a concert or childminding. Enjoy being able to have the choice nfk, good to have a leisurely lunch. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

Good morning. We seem to be having alternate days of blue and grey skies, today is grey.
3year old DGD coming today then dinner at a Chinese restaurant with friends. OH still working so we go out in the evenings. Hope the cake decorating goes well greyduster.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning - looking dull but dry in North London.

harrigran Wed 08-Feb-17 08:21:49

Good morning, grey and wet here.
DH has two appointments today, he went off to hospital yesterday and found that he had gone a day early, well I thought it was for yesterday too blush
We tend to do daytime outings too, I get tired in the evening.

whitewave Wed 08-Feb-17 08:23:26

Good morning everyone

Have a good trip lunch evening meal etc to everyone lucky enough to be doing these things - me? Not sure, but nothing planned

Cold but a sparkling day

Pittcity Wed 08-Feb-17 08:29:25

Good morning from a grey, cold Colchester.
Got a telephone appointment with GP, which is like waiting for a parcel as it could be at any time. So I may have to miss usual Wednesday coffee morning because I wouldn't be able to hear the call. It would've been so much easier for me just to go to the surgery but apparently this is a more effective use of their time!

PRINTMISS Wed 08-Feb-17 08:33:09

Good morning from a brightish south east coast, although I am not sure how the day will turn out. Went to a Parkinsons meeting yesterday, our first one, and were delighted with the atmosphere there. Enjoyed a talk on the South Downs, and tea and cake, A change which we both enjoyed. Enjoy your days.

ninathenana Wed 08-Feb-17 08:39:25

Morning all
Nothing bright about this side of Kent coast PRINTMISS sadly. It's very grey and misty fairly mild though.
Hope you have a good day MawBroon and you enjoy your evening Nfk

Pittcity Wed 08-Feb-17 08:42:39

Scrub my comment, the doctor has phoned so I will be off to coffee in town later.

Stansgran Wed 08-Feb-17 09:45:45

Morning from Durham. Greyish and dampish in fact just ish.

hildajenniJ Wed 08-Feb-17 09:50:21

Good morning everyone.
Late again! I slept badly last night. Terrible indigestion and abdominal pain in the wee small hours. I'm blaming the home made broth. It was very tasty when eating it though. There's still some left, but it's going out to the birds. Just pottering today, no other plans.
Have a good day everyone.

rosesarered Wed 08-Feb-17 09:50:34

Morning everybody, grey and damp here, not very inviting.Out this afternoon with DGS and then out with friends in the evening...in between that I suppose a bit of housework calls ( though not very loudly!)

rosesarered Wed 08-Feb-17 09:53:03

Oh dear, hilda hope you feel better today.?
Question......how do birds eat broth? ( answer.... with a soup spoon, like everyone else does!) grin

thatbags Wed 08-Feb-17 09:59:11

Morning, folks! I made croissants yesterday. They were even better this morning than last evening.

Hope you feel better soon, hildajj. I'm also wondering how birds eat broth. Not sure I can cope with the rest of the day till I know wink

Woodpidgeons would be able to sook it up. They are unusual in birds in not having to lift their heads to swallow when drinking from a water dish puddle.
