Morning Mick, morning all!

It's a bright sunny start in North Leicestershire. I only have a bit of admin to do today so might try to do some gardening.

'Baby Driver' was really good and the food in the tapas bar later was delicious - the restaurant though was almost empty. Ours is a university town and it might be better when they are around. The whole town is very flat during the holidays.

Enjoy your Fridays everyone. sunshine

Good morning, Michael, and all GNs. Fairly heavy cloud this morning in South Yorkshire but the sun is trying to fight its way through. We are having a skip delivered about ten. I hope they manage to avoid plonking it on the flower bed at the side of the drive! I may do some baking later - fancy some cheese scones, and a cake for when DS comes down tommorrow. Have a good day, folks.

Morning all.
Clear blue sky in Kent. Last nights strong winds have gone. We had garden chairs blown over and all sorts. It was more like winter.
Food shop today. We spent far too much in Dobbies yesterday and it wasn't all garden stuff either.

Good morning, it is overcast and still cool.
Very nice lunch out yesterday but it was a game of dodge the showers. Typically, when it was too late to go anywhere, the sun came out and it was a beautiful evening.

Good morning to everyone. A mad day yesterday when sunshine was interrupted by frequent showers. Had to put tumble dryer on for holiday washing, a last resort for me. Almost autumnal here, blackberries already ripe in some of the hedges. Swallows zipping around (we don't usually get them, just swifts) Just lacks that certain feeling in the air and it could be September. Have a good day everybody.

Morning All

Bright and breezy again in Norfolk although not as breezy as yesterday. I gave in and slept in the spare room with our visiting early rising Gdogs last night. At least one of us is having a lie in! At sometime during the night they seem to have arrived on the bed with me! I think I slept better too as I wasn't as worried about them waking DH - so I'll stay in the spare room until they go home.

Must stir myself and clean the house and maybe make a cake. A long lost cousin is coming this afternoon for tea. It'll be lovely to see him after many years of only exchanging Christmas cards.

Looks like it could be a nice day here in East Sussex. At least the wind has died down and there's a glimpse of blue sky. Cake and bread making today. Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning. It's been raining but is sunny just now in Lancashire.
The nurse has told me to cut down on fats as my cholesterol is a bit high, I eat hardly any so that practically impossible.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. The sun's shining between the clouds here, so fingers crossed it wins. Lots of sorting to do today down in the glory hole cellar. I still need to keep up my activity levels though (the Myfit must be obeyed), so will head out for a long walk later. I might take some stuff to the charity shop and possibly bring back more toys for the grandsons to replace it.

Good morning all,
Having a day at home. Exhausted after a week of childminding. We love it, but it is so exhausting.
Have good day all.

Morning!!

Late today as I spent longer than normal on my walk as it was such a glorious day after yesterday. Looking north and there wasn't a cloud to be seen but looking South it was totally black which threw the wind farm being constructed out to sea in shiny relief. The black clouds gradually disappeared and by the end of the walk they had gone off to Normandy presumably.

Butterfly count this weekend. So 15 minutes of counting butterflies. Plenty on the Downs. There are often clouds of small blue butterflies which settle rather disconcertainly on cow dung. I suppose there are minerals it needs.

Autumn raspberries now coming on stream. I prefer the flavour to the summer ones and they are much bigger.

Mary Berry's crab and cod fish cakes for supper. In the middle of making them at the moment.

Mums today

Enjoy your day one and all!!
