I have a slow day planned - changing beds and tidying after our visitors. I also need to ring my sister in law as I missed her birthday last week

Overcast and quite gloomy here in West Midlands. No sight of the sun at all. There wasn't rain forecast but who knows. Schools go back next week, thankfully. I think 4 terms and shorter holidays to get bored in would be good, but I may be alone in this!

A lovely, sunny, still, warm sunny morning here in Norfolk. The forecast is that the rain in the west will reach here this evening so we'll get your gloom tomorrow Tea and cake.

A quiet day planned for today recovering from the excitement and all the walking at the Aylsham Show yesterday. It was a brilliant day - I would have a moan that it was a trifle to warm (28C) but that would be ungrateful.

Just got out of the shower after a later start than usual, and the thing wouldn't turn off. Had to yell for DH who came and did something in the hot cupboard and it then turned off. He reckons he's fixed it. We'll see!

Off to the library later to pick up a couple of books I'd ordered. Might treat DH to something nice from the bakery as a thankyou for the rescue from the shower!
